So much for the adage which suggests that which doesn't kill you only serves to make you stronger.

Interesting article From The Columbian:
PORTLAND — Martell Webster is still not sure when he will play this season. But the Portland Trail Blazers forward has learned one important lesson from his lengthy time off: Give himself a break.
Webster said his failure in that area is a big reason why he has been sidelined for all but five minutes this season because of a stress fracture in his left foot.
He started his workouts early last season and continued them throughout the summer, stressing his body to the point that something was bound to break down, Webster said. The foot finally did in the season's first preseason game.
"You can't do it the whole summer," said Webster. "That's just been me. That's my makeup. I can still have the same look, I just have to change it up and decide when's a smart time to do it."...............
Also, some good stuff on Joel...
Joel Przybilla has not obsessed about playing a full season the way he did last year. But he is thinking about it, and is anxious after coming so close to his goal last year.....
...."I'm so close, and to tell you the truth, it does (mean something) because I've never done it before. And I came so close last year, and that's all I thought about pretty much all summer was the fact that, playing 82 games, I came so close...."

It's a weird article.
