Webster to be activated for Toronto!

TORONTO _ Trail Blazers forward Martell Webster will be activated Sunday morning for the first time this season, but coach Nate McMillan said he can't guarantee the sharp-shooter will play Sunday against Toronto.

Webster, who started 70 games at small forward last season, has missed the first 21 games this season recovering from a broken bone in his left foot.

"I plan to go with the same rotation we have been using, but I want to get Martell in uniform,'' McMillan said. "And if possible, I'd like to get him a few minutes.''

I'm a huge MW fan but it'll take him some games to get in shape, get his shot back, learn to play with new team + Roy's budding game-controlling goodness.

I'd like to see him get some playing time, but I agree it is going to take a few games to get back into the swing of things. I'd look for spot minutes today if things are going good.

While I do not have the high hopes some here have for Webster - it is nice to have him back and I can't imagine he will be a downgrade from the way Frye has been playing in the recent past...
