RHP - Michael Pineda (1-0, 10.80 ERA)

VS.

LHP - J.A. Happ (0-0, 3.00 ERA)

Lineups to follow..............

Yeah he pretty much sucked his first time out.

Tonight's starting line....

CF - Ellsbury
LF - Hicks
DH - A-Rod
1B - Teixeira
RF - Beltran
2B - Castro
3B - Headley
SS - Torreyes
C - Romine

GO YANKEES!

The Yankees and the NHL playoffs. Hopefully will be a good evening for New York.

Not a bad line by Pineda but unfortunately the offense is out on coffee break. A-hole, they need to sit you and your .150 average down.

Have had it with Nova. Should've been traded when they had the chance.

Yankees might have had a shot until that piece of garbage arrived. Ship him down to Scranton where Swisher is.

...surprised Joe brought Nova in to face Donaldson and Bautista.

It was a bad decision. No way around it. Nova should be moved for a solid bullpen guy who can actually do the job. There's a team out there that will think Nova can be resurrected.

Girardi's downfall will be his allegiance to veterans like Arod and also his stubborn attitude when it comes to mixing up the lineup.

Pat Venditte? How the fuck did he get away? Waivers....

Having never seen this guy I thought he was pretty novel.

I agree....have said it a few times including last year when the team was struggling offensively but nobody was on the same page.
Instead there was the usual "makes no difference" ... or .... "you'll just be replacing one piece of garbage with another".

I guess some fans just don't believe the possibilty of creating positive dynamics by having a couple/few batters hitting in front of, or behind "different" hitters (order).

And likewise, it can/may also have a positive effect on those batters who have "different" batters hitting in front or behind THEM.

As a manager, I would tend to "shake up" a lineup a bit more often than most.

Here's an article regarding shaking up lineups.

It happens in every sport. I'm a New York Rangers fan and it's what's going to get their coach eventually knocked out of town. I'm telling you right now you will pull your hair out watching Arod and Headley struggle while occupying the same spots all year long. You might as well throw Gardner in that same mix as well but I've have had it with him for a couple of years now.

I'd rather see Castro in the 2 spot.

I would as well but Girardi seems to have a love affair with continuity. Hicks is in the lineup for Gardner so he should automatically be the #2. It just makes no sense sometimes.

^^^I wish Pasta was here, he could explain it.
