When the Yankees are paying his salary on YES TV, Cone really knows how to belly up
to Hal & Hank.............it's as if he is talking only to the two owners. Screw us!

Did anyone say objectivity?
 
One nice thing for the Yankees, at this writing the Tropicana Twits are getting their asses whacked by the Angels. If the local team keeps on keeping on through season end, the Yankees won't finish in the cellar.

Thanks Cage, I thought it was just me. My favorite was last year when he said (no lie)........"And he slides into 3rd with a stand up triple".
 
I'm just hoping against hope this team can start putting some wins together starting tonight and continuing directly after the break and making themselves relevant.

Nope, I wouldn't wager any doughnuts on their chances.
The team has struggled to play .500 all season and after tonight the next 17 games are vs Cleve, Bost, Balt, SF and Houston. Yikes!

And I began this post just as the Whitesox were taking a 4-0 lead.


After those 17 games we could/should be looking at a few different players wearing Yankee uniforms. Maybe sooner.

Girardi - " well first let me help you find the middle of your forehead & for just one game try pitching with your hat on straight like a professional"

Nice going Hicks, runner on 3rd only one out & you pop up to the SS. C'mon clueless Joe give this bums playing time to Refsnyder, at least he's producing.
 
The more refsnyder hits and doesn't get the playing time over stiffs like hicks and headley the more girardi is cutting off his nose to spite his face. And by the way am I the only one that thinks didi should be hitting 2nd instead of gardner!! At this point this team going nowhere and the lower we finish(who cares) the better chance we have to draft one of those pitching or hitting studs in the top couple of picks in the draft.

Ya know, I'm just not bringing up the notion that players traded by Idiot Cashman are doing very
well out of Yankee pinstripes, but damn.........how many of you would trade Headley back to San Diego
for the Solarte kid? SD GM would laugh in douche bag Cashman's face!
 
I'm making a prediction now that Cashman will not do anything at the trade deadline that will have any kind of impact on this team.

Yup - Refsnyder has hit whenever he's been given the chance despite being bounced around positions and AAA/ Yanks and I agree with giving Didi a chance in the 2nd spot.
Joe The Genius stood by last year down the stretch as Gardner hit .208 and .198 in Aug/Sept while Didi was batting. 310 and .248<--- still 40 pts higher than Gardner lol.
The least Joe The Genius could do, the one obvious move he could've tried to help the team score more runs was removing a black hole from the 2nd spot in Gardner and replacing him with Didi.

I've also suggested this year Girardi should remove Gardner from the 2nd spot and replace him with Didi...or at least vs LHP.
Gardner .221/ .531 vs LHP....nope, his .531 OPS isn't a missprint.
Didi has been outstanding vs LHP .365/.843.

Joe The Genius has ALREADY let too much time pass and hasn't taken advantage of this situation.
Ellsbury currently batting .282 with .348 OBP and 16 SB and this idiot Girardi continues to put Gardner behind him....on the contrary, at this point Gardner is the guy who should be batting 8th- 9th in the order- for the past 2.5 years Gardner has been a .257 hitter averaging 109 Ks (seasonal rate) while still being a speedy baserunner.
He's a 8th/9th hitter if I ever saw one!
Also, Gardner's K rate is a killer in the 2 spot while Didi has K'd 33 times.
Another item, Gardner is batting .200 w/risp while Didi has been doing very well .297 w/risp.....and keep in mind this is happening while the leadoff hitter Ellsbury has stolen a team high 16 bases.

I know you were all gushy after his first couple of starts last year with Detroit but cheer up, he's still young and has lowered his career ERA to 5.31 and WHIP to 1.43...and odds are Gregorius won't improve upon his current numbers and become an All Star SS in the coming years.

...wtf does Greene have to do with anything?...you just can't help it, can you?...when you have no other recourse you bring up irrelevancies from the past. Like I said before, it's all you have evidently.

...and fwiw, my "sigh" post was not directed at you, jackass...but by all means, continue your paranoid and schizoid tendencies.
