You can also crush up some pork rinds, add a little almond flour and water and make some Keto friendly tortillas.

That has gotten me thru a bread craving.
I’ll crunch up pork rinds and walnuts, mix with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne and whatever herbs along with Parmesan and make a kick ass low carb breading for chicken or pork.

I find this conversation fascinating. I drink coffee and have quit completely for months without side effects. I feel like I have never really had food cravings, I like to eat whatever my wife makes but I can go a few days without eating and feel ok. I had no idea food cravings were so common, my only experience is my wifes pregnancies have always had her craving the weirdest stuff...

Keto is awesome.

Pork Rinds! PORK RINDS!

and meat!
Pork Rinds! Aha, that's the secret ingredient.
Washed down with what, a coke? Coke is off my diet. I forgot that colas are another no no for me.

Anyone here a trainer, or know a good one, who can help an older, chubby Jew get 40 lbs off for good? I’m clearly doing something wrong and uninspired to lose - and gain - 20 lbs yet again

PM me if so. Thanks!
Thank God, I'm a gentile and 40 lbs. melts off me like butter.
When I worked out strenuously I had buddies that I could always find at the gym. We helped motivate each other.
I've also found working out to be tough to continue for the first three or four months. After that I would look forward to each morning which I started with a good hard workout. Going back to the locker room I could stare at myself in the mirror and then weigh myself which all added to the self motivation to keep up the good work.
The only reason I've quit is because I now have a serious handicap else I'd be in the best shape of anyone my age you've ever met.
Now it's potato chips and dip.
Don't ever let this happen to you. Take care of your health.

Im pretty happy with my excersize routines at this point. On days I make it to the gym I get about 14k steps on my fitbit, the other days are around 8.5-9k. So far Ive made it at least four days a week but most weeks have been 5-6 days. Im feeling pretty good, just old!

Lifting weights 2-3 times a week. I think if I keep it up in 3-4 months I will probably feel less like an old fat dude running around and more like an old sort of fat dude :)

Anyways I did get a fit bit and if anyone wants to do some challenges thatd be fun!

If you are up for a running challenge you let me know, buddy.

Lol Definitely up for it, I dont know what clicked but I really want to get in shape. Its a process though and I have a ways to go.

I know how it goes. I wasted my 20s on games and junk food while completing my studies. I turned it around in my 30s and been going strong since.

It certainly is a process and I can share my experience when you want to hear it. If you want to hear it. Lol.

Here's a great excercise regimen, do circuit weight training. I did it for years aiming to improve my cardiovascular system and developed some amazing strength and physique while doing way more repetitions than a body builder. Improved my endurance and strength. PCC, Sylvania Campus used to have ane excellent program. I'd to in at 5:30 AM, take a shower and shave until 6 AM. Begin my workout at 6 AM. Finish by rinsing off in the shower after a 2 1.2 hour workout and go home at about9 AM. I'd usually go eat a snack of a variety of raw fruits and vegetable, drink a V8. Never felt better in my life. Also, it puts you in a great mood. No more kicking the dog, yelling at kids to get off my lawn or yelling at my wife and kids. Everybody started to look forward to Daddy coming home. Okay, I made up the part about having kids but it puts you in a great mood.

I used to be sour. Now look at me. I'm really great, modest too. Look how nice I treat Maris.

I'm disabled and have to go the hospital three times a week for treatments. I get there about6:30 AM and people probably get sick and tired of all the smiles and jokes I tell. In fact, I'll bet if they hear one more time how great the Blazers are, they'll throw up.

I'm beginning the ketogenic diet. Convinced.

I moved your post here because many of us have done Keto and you might get some tips. I'm also going to move your latest post here because it fits better.

Keto tips.

Don't use any of the keto bread you find in the stores until week 3.

Pork rinds are your friend. Great snack. And can be crushed and used for breading on things like friend chicken.

If you get a bread craving, which trust me, you will, find a recipe for pancakes using almond or coconut flour.

Adkins shakes and candy work good for a sweet fix but only one per day. Some people just snack out on that a bunch.

Warning... if your wife goes on Keto too you will lose more weight than she will for the first month and she will be mad at you. I know this from experience. We get into ketosis much easier.

Mashed cauliflower makes a good substitute for mashed potatoes.

Keto doesn't really work. You're almost certainly not in ketosis.

Though, eating meat, beans, nuts, and vegetables is good and could help you lose weight by avoiding junk food.

Keto has worked great for me a few times.

I do a paleo-keto mix.

Next time I diet I'm going to try a paleo-keto-IF combo.

Yeah, we did it as well. And it did work for a bit by getting us to avoid junk food. My wife just loves rice, pasta, and bread way too much to be consistent...

It's a battle.

It's a battle.

I don't buy any of the premade packaged keto friendly foods for the first 2 weeks. I just don't believe the labels.

And I love rice, pasta, bread, and potatoes. The bread I can get around with almond flour pancakes and tortillas.

Homemade chocolate mousse is a lifesaver, lol. Simple to make too.

Rice you can use cauliflower.

Also the diabetic ketchup, BBQ sauce, and teriyaki sauce all work well.

I pheel for ya. Really do.

I'll check them out! They're less than a mile away.

Costco has a lot of products that say they are Keto friendly.

Do not use them for the first 2-3 weeks on the diet.
