Welcome Boston guys

Heat package was better :)
Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson are long term overpays. Exactly what Cronin has been shuffling off the Blazers.

Yes, Cronin and Jody sign the extended contracts. But Portland is able to flip their recently signed extended players, unlike Miami's "you guys suck!" salary cap duds.

But he isn't good. The Celtics couldn't find a trade for him

Wow, you are doubling down on this. I assumed your first post about the reigning 6th man of the year sucking was sarcasm.
Did you not watch him last year? He is a 230 lb guard. That is 20 lbs heavier than our starting power forward

I getting really like this team we are set at center with ayton and Williams. Brogdon definitely strength our guard position and now get a 1st next year draft and we might two first next depending where we fall this season.
We are never set at center. Alex Sarr is already on my mind.

I think we got 2 centers that can really benefit from going to a smaller club, with smaller expectations and not as much preesure

I love rwiii. Have to get a shirt

The only reason they couldn’t find a trade for him is due to his injury. Competing teams don’t want an injury affecting their run. We, on the other hand, have all the time to let him heal from his injury. He will likely be available closer to the deadline and will be dealt to a team like the 6ers or Clips for a 1st rounder.

Welcome Timelord. Now I can play one of my favorite song/videos.

I wonder if Portland will just waive any requirement for physicals. Both players have a lot of accumulated scar tissue

Brogdon, without his injury history, would be a much better 3rd guard than Ant. Quite a bit better as a facilitator and PG; equal as a shooter; several tiers better as a defender; and not undersized

but he has had lots of trouble staying healthy the last 6 seasons. That's a pretty compelling sample size

Honestly I'd try to move Williams and Brogdon. I don't want their injury histories.

Trade Brogdon for a young SF. Getting two players back in the trade cuts the salary we need to get back in a SF trade. Brodgon was something around $22 million.

Brodgon's True Shooting percentage has always been good or great for a guard. He's 30 years old.
Very reasonable contract of $22 million with 2 years left.

I don’t think there is actually any immediate need to move them. Thing is, if they were healthy, they wouldn’t be available with 1sts for Holiday, we got them because the Celtics weren’t wanting to wait on their health.

Obviously, the choice is clear if we can get valuable assets from the Mavs for TimeLord or from the Heat or Clips for Brogdon. But if they aren’t they’re guys that we can keep on the bench. TimeLord is a great deal for his remaining three years.

Fun fact: in the video I posted Time Lord and Horford were both in the game at the same time during one of the plays, suggesting that Williams can indeed play PF.

Do we know if the rumor that Timelord’s knees are degenerative is true?
