Any chance he ever comes here? Just curious.
Maybe in the summer for a vacation when the weather is nice.
Huh?!...What do you mean the NBA is "unsuspecting"?!...The whole NBA knows this guy is the next Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Kareem, Shaq...or maybe just a combination of them all! The NBA is shaking in their boots knowing this guy is now a Blazer and will be a first Ballot Hall of Famer after only his first practice with the Blazers! Come on man...stay up to speed on the Unicorn NBA talent that is about to hit PDX! Neil for President...What a legacy that guy is creating!First of all, welcome rookie. <This space reserved for @HCP welcoming the rookie officially>
Second - you are crazy man. Since Dame already got Nurk as his understudy - this move gives CJ his own eastern-European giant center to mentor and cherish. This is great. It's a move that adds to locker room cohesion and makes CJ a happy man.
I for one am waiting for the reign of terror that Rakovic is going to bring on an unsuspecting NBA.
Apparently, you can't just dump a player for nothing in return according to league rules.Serious question here, why was he included?
He was included in the trade because, per league rules, the Bulls had to send an asset back to the Blazers. “Asset” is defined as a draft pick, cash, or the rights to a player who could play in the NBA or a reputable foreign league.
Yes. Or at least about the trade itself.Really? We need a thread about this guy?
He is 32 or 33 and never had a big season overseas. I think you could say he is almost to retirement age already.Any chance he ever comes here? Just curious.
We got it. We sent Vonleh plus cash (although we don't know how much it wasn't much - as we are restricted in how much we can send now) for the rights to this guy and 3.5 MIL trade exception that can be used anytime in the next 12 months I think. So what was the trade exactly?
Isn't there something about a $3.5 mil trade exception? If so, who gets it?
H likes his Cheese and Watches.
No he won’t come here.
I wish I could say the trade exception isn't nothing, but it's only something if the team actually uses it. And our record isn't great on that.We got it. I don't believe so either. But only 92.74% positive on that.I wish I could say the trade exception isn't nothing, but it's only something if the team actually uses it. And our record isn't great on that.
Can the trade exception be combined with our existing trade exception (I'm thinking not but I'm sure someone knows for sure.)
Thanks.

Thanks. That's what I thought.Nope, trade exceptions can't be combined with each other or with player salaries to create a salary match. You can get a little creative with breaking a deal into a couple of separate deals where the exception is swapped for one of the players and the player you want to send is swapped for other players/assets.
Who?
Yet another reason why i live in OT now
I predict he'll make us forget all about Dani Diez.I await @Rastapopoulos's scouting report with bated breath.
