start Toumani, why not? Blazers have needed and extra boost of length & versatility in forever.
small school and 23?I love having 2nd round gems fall in our lap. It’s unexpected and nice surprise, to go along with a super cheap contract. But, how did Camara fall so far given that he’s 6’8 220 wing with good size and defensive instincts. He was almost undrafted.

Oh definitely, I was being a little facetious, but I think it goes to show Cronin seems to have an eye for acquiring young talentWasn't he the throw in on the trade,?
Being 23 really affects your draft stock.Interesting to read this. The weaknesses seem a lot less weak than I’d expect for someone who almost went undrafted?

Kobe Brown was drafted in the 1st round this year, and he’s going to be 24 this New Years.Being 23 really affects your draft stock.
I haven’t watched any preseason at all and have only seen box scores and the occasional clip, so I haven’t had a chance to really see what all the hype is about. Right now, he seems like he could cancel out the Kris Murray mistake (whether or not it was a mistake remains to be seen I guess, I just think there were better options at #23).
Williams will probably be out a lot, so add another center or big man in parentheses after his name.Yeah, it certainly is a consideration. I mean we have discussed starting Williams to give them more size and toughness, Toumani might be a better option because he can hit the 3 well enough to keep the defense honest. It is still early but regardless if he starts or not I think he is in their 9 man rotation.
Scoot, Ant, Sharpe, Grant, Ayton, Thybulle, Brogdon, Williams, Toumani. The others will get their chance as well with injuries.

Here's a question, is TC better more of a PF of SF? and does it matter much in today's switchable NBA? he seems big enough to play PF and perhaps quick enough at SF. One thing he can do is rebound which we need out of anyone who plays alongside Grant who is allergic to rebounding! If Camara is truly Scottie Pippen, we might only need a starting PF to complete the dynasty team
Also have to compare to what the Blazers have at SF now. Thybulle is a bit undersized and has an unorthodox defending style where he blocks shots from behind which can be a problem if he's not staying in front of his man. Here's a question, is TC better more of a PF of SF? and does it matter much in today's switchable NBA? he seems big enough to play PF and perhaps quick enough at SF

And his contract is unreally cheap at 4 year / $7,639,302Also have to compare to what the Blazers have at SF now. Thybulle is a bit undersized and has an unorthodox defending style where he blocks shots from behind which can be a problem if he's not staying in front of his man.
Camara does a better job of traditional defense.

Yeah I’m not sure why people are heavily judging Murray after a handful of minutes. What we have seen from College is that if you give Kris Murray a long enough runway he will lift off eventually. The Blazers have the luxury of giving him that runway in the NBA, so I for one am not too worried about it. Well worth the risk at the #23 pick.

Even 23 year olds need an adjustment period.
Vanderbilt is out of control a lot. He's the Will Barton of small forwards. Lots of energy, not always smart energy.I think for the most part he can play either forward spot in today's NBA. There are a few teams where we would need to go bigger to match up but maybe that is when a Robert Williams comes into play.
Remember how badly some of us wanted Vanderbilt at the trade deadline? He weighs in at 214. I think Camara has more potential.
I don't know about other people, but I am judging who should get playing time now, not someone's NBA career.Yeah I’m not sure why people are heavily judging Murray after a handful of minutes.

Got the Suns again Monday, let's hope TC gets plenty of minutes and plays well againI don't know about other people, but I am judging who should get playing time now, not someone's NBA career.
The playing time decision needs to be made now for upcoming games.
