Not that refRefs call that a 90/10 no call. Of it's 90% ball, 10% body, it's a block.

Not that ref
Odd you would say that since I said in another post that I didn't think it was a foul. There's a saying among referees:
Have a patient whistle. Start, develop, finish.
You always blow your whistle during the finish of the play. That ref had a quick whistle and blew it during the development stage of the play.
But you always agree with referees...

All ball. A lot of body. Not a foul IMO, but not as clean as it gets
must've missed that. The whole time it seemed you were arguing for the ref...
No he's arguing for his flimsy white guys suck at basketball case.
Which is a shitty one as Hayward's the biggest ticket on the market right now.

I will say one thing after watching some highlights of this kid one of the first thing that stand out to me.... absolutely great footwork. Probably the best of any big in the draft. But he''ll probably have to get over that White American Center Pronation Bias.... tough thing that. Oh the hostility that has crippled many strong men!![]()
Yeah, i just LOVE it when a ref blows his whistle to call a foul before the foul even happens, especially when, oops, there was no foul. Happens in the NBA more than it shouldThere's a saying among referees:

Let the Meyers comparisons continue? He needs to get his self confidence in check. Nobody will make it in the NBA if they are that down on themselves.

Zach seems much more intense than that.... and his dad looks like a real piece of work. Strikes me as the kind of guy that screams at the umpire during a little league game.
It feels different to me though. I don't see it as the same as Butters. Butters consistently thinks he's doing well.
I didn't compare him to Butters. I don't think it's the same thing..... but it's still concerning to me though.
I know you didn't. Just speaking generally.
We have had other guys that had confidence issues.
Martell Webster
Sebastian Telfair
Allen Crabbe
Frankly, if I was drafting talent, I'd stay away from players that had issues like that. I want guys like Dame and CJ. Guys that are focused like a laser. Guys that have proven their doubters wrong and want more. I love that kind of player.
Can we even be making assessments like this when he has yet to play even a minute of NBA basketball? This is a good point. There is a fine line between using failure or challenges to motivate yourself to get better (Dame) and getting down on yourself in a negative way (above list). Not sure where ZCo is going to end up, but he seems to be riding the line closer than I would like. He needs Dame in his ear telling him not to get too high or too low.
Nah, I don't see that in him at all. I see him telling himself, "that performance sucked, I'm better than that, I'll get 'em next time". I don't think he's lacking in confidence at all, and I'm not even a little bit worried about his attitude. This is a good point.
