Supposedly, the Nets are rebuilding and collecting young players and making roster moves based on the assumption they can pick up a high-profile free agent in 2010, namely LeBron. The Nets have only committed to Harris and Carter past 2010. What if Carter feels he is in a win-now point in his career where he can't afford to dedicate what's left of his prime years to a rebuilding squad, and consequently requests for a trade?
You wouldn't put it past VC to request for a trade. Maybe this was overlooked?
Thoughts?
