When you got offensive when players stand still with there fingers up there ass and two small guards try dribbling between double team or there to small pass over the double. This why I don't like small 2 guards. Actually the 2nd move more than the 1st unit. I use to hound about his defense concept but if this there offensive concept it pretty bad.

He plays well against GS, they don’t really have anyone that can stop him when he’s not getting doubled, which wouldn’t be happening if you put him on current day Blazers.
But also, his energy is contagious. That team didn't quit down 31. We quit up 10.

so does he deserve a supermax contract extension? possibly this summer?

Maybe if we move him to SG and get a real PG. CJ and dame are good scorers and pretty good tandem when they are shooting well. No defense whatsoever from either.

I know this won't be popular but i'm in the camp that we need to trade CJ for a strong Wing. Go after someone like Mike Conley in the offseason and we have a shot to compete for a Championship again next year.

The way we are currently structured, it won't happen.

The Rockets are literally built to beat the Warriors lol every piece they add is for that purpose. It’s basically three guards (Harden, Paul, Gordon) and everyone else is 3&D specialist types or rebound/put back bigs.
Nene, Austin Rivers, Iman Shumpert, and Gerald Green are 3&D specialists? Because that’s who comes off the bench for them. Capela has been awful the last two postseasons against Golden State. PJ Tucker is outstanding but come on, that team is no better top to bottom than ours. The difference is Harden and Dame.

The problem is the system and the roster. We play into double teams with basic pick n roll and handoffs and we don't have anyone that can make them pay.

Our combination of Dame + CJ + Stotts is just not good enough.
Stotts can't make correct team adjustments when we stall.
Dame shooting this series has been pathetic. For a guy getting the super max, this is really poor
CJ ... oh well. CJ is CJ.
should he get a supermax? I mean that should IMO only go to the very top tier NBA players or it will hamstring your team - should Dame get it?

Terry looks completely bewildered. in post conference.

Draymond the difference maker. his energy and drive.

dame suffered due tot their defense, traps and missed shots.

what's stotts gonna say to the team to ramp em up? we're gonna give it our best on monday n whatever happens happens.

i dunno if its as much about strategy as it is about rallying around and doing our best.

well shit, Terry...

Dame plays defense. He's been relatively good on defense this season and during these playoffs.

There was a weird exchange where CJ missed 2 of 3 free throws but Curry gets a rebound and finds CJ wide open in the corner and he misses badly.
That kind of thing is what was happening tonight.
I just can't Blame Damian Lillard for that???? Curry missing two wide open looks at the end. Meyers missed his wide open look. Turner throws the ball straight up and looks at the ref?
These things are not on Stotts or Lillard?

Dame had a terrible game and yeah, there are those who blame him for just about all the Blazer ills. Apparently, he's a big target for fan bile and frustration. He sure needed to play better tonight and value the ball more

but there was all kinds of blame to go around in these last 2 games. Lots of Blazers were making lots of bad plays and bad decisions

I think the Warriors are now Portland's kryptonite. Portland reacts worse to what the Warriors do than they would if any other team did the same things. Golden State is in the heads of the Blazers, and it's not just Dame's head. Coming into this game, in the first two games Dame had a .599 TS%; CJ had a .446 TS%. If Dame is locked down by the defense, and he's certainly been that, then his back court partner needs to play lights out...and CJ's been worse than Dame.

oh, and speaking of being in the Blazer heads, I think the Warriors coaches are in the head of Stotts. He doesn't have any answers. There might not be many to find, but the Blazers are 1-10 against the Warriors in the playoffs and that one win came at the Moda when Curry was out

Yes lmao would you rather be in the lottery constantly hoping someone pans out and MAYBE make the playoffs 5 years down the road in the always crowded west OR would you rather be in the playoffs every year, occasionally advancing?

Seriously all this Dame hate, what do you want him to do? Attack every double team? Pass every time? Make every shot? He’s clearly having a shit time this series and he knows it, but what can he do? Just continue playing.
If this team would play with pace and pass up the court you avoid the double team. But we got two refuse play with pace.

Mainly just want him to not look like a deer in the headlights every-time he’s see’s GS in the playoffs. They are probably not better than GS but he’s gotta be better... Like I said in my long post, its not all on him, but just like a QB in the NFL, you want the money, and the fame and the publicity you’re gonna get it unfairly good and bad.

Rivers and Green are definitely guys who can hit open shots... hell Rivers can actually run offense. They ain’t scrubs.

None of those guys are particularly good on either side of the floor.

The heat Lillard is getting from pundits right now is to the extreme.

Skip Bayless is beside himself right now.

I blame the entire team for being intimidated and playing like it. That's why CJ whiffed those shots so badly when he's made them all season and playoffs. Is some of that on Dame and Terry's leadership? I dunno, maybe...

and there we go...It's Dame's fault CJ shot and airball and missed 5 FT's....fuck, that Dame is like a voodoo doll. He's probably why it's rained the last 3 days

Put Steph Curry on this team right now, and he looks exactly the same as Dame. He has the luxury of teammates+better system.

I love Dame but can we please never throw him into the tier 1 list of players again.

Harden averaged 36ppg on 45% shooting in their series against Golden State against the same guys, with a supporting cast that is nothing to write home about either.
Dame is the best player on a team in the Final 4. Seems tier 1 to me.

I see this completely different. Stotts has made adjustments in both game 2 and game 3 that worked very well.
This game he even did what i was looking for and went big. The only thing he has not tried is going young. I assume that will happen in game four if they are down in the fourth quarter.
