I can't fucking believe this shit. How do you miss 13 fucking free throws. How do you give so such a pathetic effort and no energy in the second half of two consecutive WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS

What the actual fuck, It's ridiculous. Great we got to the WCF, and we're still gonna be the league's joke because we're getting swept.

and we're still gonna be the league's joke because we're getting swept.

At least we'll have some fire for next season. We got swept in the first round last year and it fueled the guys to make the WCF the next year. Getting swept again the WCF (if it happens) will fuel the guys to work even harder in the off season to make the finals with hopefully a healthy Dame and Nurk.

We are now Raptors-West.
This is the 100th time we get kicked out of the playoffs by Lebro...i mean the Warriors.

On a sidenote:
I'm starting to really question the integrity of screens in basketball.

It's basically a big guy planning and initiating a late collision with a much smaller guard and then sticking his hip into the guard's body so that he can't escape.

A screen should be like a road block for the defender to navigate through, he shouldn't move any part of his body after the contact and he shouldn't initiate contact WHILE a player is chasing a different player.
The problem is - the screeners don't stand in a certain place, they walk up\run into defenders and then continue to wrestle with them.

If a player is penetrating to the basket for a layup and then a big comes and stand in his way while they're running then it's a foul - where's the distinction?

A guy like Collins gets called for doing a moving screen more often than a guy like Looney...and i dont understand why because Looney's screens look like fouls more often.

I don't think the league has the will to remedy this situation as it creates more threes and open shots.
If they did see how stupid it looks - how can they approach a solution, really? allow "box outs" on offensive players before they set the screen? not allow screens on defenders while they're in the act of running?

The Stotts, Dame, CJ combo is just not good enough for Kerr/Curry/Thompson.

Hasn't that been the case for every team pretty much for the last 4 or 5 years though? The Cavs were lucky to sneak one in but it took an all world effort from LeBron to do it otherwise the Warriors would be working on their 5th in a row.

Least other teams sneak in a "win" here or there...

The Warriors have 22 consecutive playoff series with a road victory. That's nuts. I'm not sure we'll ever see that again.

Lillard has to change his style of play in the offseason completely, it's allways the same: bring the ball up court, waiting for the screen, waiting waiting waiting and then comes the double Team and then he has to pass to a teammate, while there is only half of the shot clock. His style of play is good in the regular Season, but when the Playoffs starts and the defense get's more aggressive he's lost

what kind of "style" should Lillard change to? Pass more to Mo and Aminu? Give up the ball more and watch CJ dribble? Abandon the PnR with Nurkic?

should he become a less impactful player so a defense won't sell out to stop him? rope-a-dope?

I think the best style change Lillard can make is to play with more talented players. That's on the GM

like us...we beat them twice this season..with Nurk

true, but it's pretty damn clear that the regular season means next to nothing once the playoffs start. Portland was 0-7 against the full OKC and Denver teams and 8-4 against them in the playoffs, including 3-3 on the road

this Dame/CJ version of the Blazer team is 1-11 against the Warriors in the playoffs, and Portland's one win came when Curry didn't play. The Warriors are a generational team, but their dominance over Portland is pretty discouraging. That's especially true considering Klay and Green are the same age as Dame, and Curry is only a year and a half older while CJ is only a year younger. How is Portland going to get past the Warriors? I don't see a path

There were some people were fucking hammered tonight at the game. Including one guy in Blazer gear was being removed by security took his beer and threw it in the crowd. Not sure what he said or did but the entire Blazer bench was pointing him out to security.

I guy coming up the stairs past us was on his fifth beer run and dumped both of them on the middle ledge before going to the upper 300. Beer everywhere.

Nurk.

he'll make things better. But the problem is, IMO, he's not enough to close the gap and turn it to a Blazer advantage. Portland isn't 7-11 against the Warriors in the playoffs where one guy can tip the scales...they are 1-11

difference being you don't have to start your best bench players with Nurk….that's why Nurk makes both the starting unit and bench better

how better is the bench going to be if Hood, Kanter, and Curry leave? At this point, I think Portland may lose 2 of the 3. I also wonder if Aminu will be re-signed. Portland may take a step back this summer because they don't have full control over the situation

whatever the case....I'm talking about what we've had success with not next season or what ifs......when the last game is played we'll see how that all pans out. If you can't get Kanter a lot of bigs are free agents....you could even sign Ed Davis again.

It’s time man... this is a Game of Thrones level redemption arc, he needs that, we need him, get him and we beat GS.

Game of Thrones Spoiler....Warriors kill everyone and win it all...again

Better? They will be far worse

what will they use to sign Ed Davis?...the MLE they might need for Hood?

Am i reading this right? Aminu i am sure is a real nice guy. But him leaving will not make the Blazers take a step back from what i see.

these are just speculations...someone..maybe you said all these guys are out the door...if Kanter isn't in your budget, Ed probably would be...that would mean other guys were off the books I'd guess...

Well, there's a strong possibility that Thompson, Durant and Cousins are gone next year as well as Igoudala and Green will be in a contract year. Things might be changing for the Warriors as they will have a lot of holes to possibly fill next year and the following year.

No way we sign ed back. Not with olshey here. That would be admitting letting him go was a mistake and he would never do that.

Just for shits and giggles,

Could we release cj, someone else will pick him up and that negates our contract, right? We could them go sign thompson?

Asking for a friend. Lol

There isn't a strong possibility that Thompson is gone. He's said he wants to remain in Golden State...if they max him out, which they will (especially if Durant leaves), he's staying.

Cousins is gone for sure, Durant may well be gone.

It's a possibility whether it's strong weak or anywhere inbetween. Only time will tell but there have been reports that he plans to leave also so it's hard to say until he actually signs.
