Mark Jackson is talking his way out of ever getting a job interview again. Garbage announcer, even worse coach

By definition of the rule, it was clear path because Dame waited until Curry had passed him to foul him. If he fouls him in front, it's not but he waited and then reached around from behind. That's on Dame, not the ref.

By that definition any shot with a trailer who fouls is committing a clear path foul. The spirit behind the rule is important and it was clear Dame had defensive position before attempting to foul. Also, there was no possession change in between when Dame had position and when he fell behind.

Dame shouldn't have fouled him though. That was all on Dame, even if the call was questionable. That might've been the worst 10 seconds of basketball he's ever played.
It just seems he foul him while both players was even then Curry went by.

Yup. They should reinterpret it.

Agreed.

When a player gathers to take a shot, the 'clear path' ends.

Dame will get the blame for that turnover, but I was watching Turner and he came towards Dame in their usual offensive motion and terminated his path and stopped just as Dame picked up the dribble and passed. Curry was on Turner and didn't terminate his motion
He passed up Meyers wide open at the elbow. Where were Evans hands out? Was one out or were they both in front? Hand placement of a cutter is how you communicate.

As an NBA fan of so long, what infuriates me about watching the Blazers play on national television is how much fucking head-patting the NBA media gives Portland and their fans, like we should be grateful that we have a joke of a basketball team to root for and that everything about them is "cute" and "OH LOOK AT THAT WIDDLE TEAM TRY TO PLAY WELL!!". They are condescending to the Blazers and their fans at every opportunity and I'm royally sick of it. And media people like Barkley who actually defend and appreciate the Blazers for what they do and who they are are mocked.

Let me clarify -- Dame Blame to the point where fans forget all he has done and act like he is a complete bum
Again, there's like 2 or 3 guilty of that. And they haven't made a peep tonight, unless I missed it.

Makes the laziest pass in the world to Turner with Leonard wide open in the middle. Then boneheaded foul instead of just playing out the possession. He's so checked out.
If he is taking pain meds for his ribs that are affecting his judgement; somebody needs to be seeing WTH is happening.

I fucking hate ESPN after this. So much condescension. So much shade. Every comment. I can't wait to get swept this series and for them to lose their money.

Elle must be crying tears of joy right now. With the 3rd quarter coming soon, I'll prepare the eulogy for our season.

Ladies and gentleman, we are GATHERED HERE TONIGHT to celebrate the memories of the Portland Trail Blazers 2018-2019 season. It was an emotional roller coaster. May this season..........rest.........in.......peace.

To piggy back on this, no one was unsafe on the play. It wasn't some full speed Rudy Fernandez type play.

It's as common as a foul could get.

When kids foul to stop the clock went don't I call intentional foul and give them 2 shots and the ball?

Because even though they intended to foul, they did not endanger, intend to harm, or unnecessarily contact their opponent.

They need to not call that by the letter.

Is anyone on this dumbass broadcast gonna credit Dame for trusting his guys?

Harkless= deer in headlights.
Seriously, look in his eyes.
He's scared.
