Terry doesn't adjust on the fly, and defaults to what is comfortable instead of what is obvious.

He has to literally toss a game before making any sort of adjustments (like proven with 48 minutes of getting stomped), and even then he has to be forced to do it. This is my biggest complaint with him as a coach.

At least this validated my concerns of not going to game 1.

There's a reason the Blazers are playing so bad.... GS plays championship-level defense. Portland's pedestrian offense cant cope with that.

That's not it. The Blazers played stupid basketball. From a defensive and offensive standpoint. Not getting back on defense is stupid basketball. Leaving your feet with the ball is stupid basketball. Passing to someone in the lane with multiple defenders between man and ball is stupid basketball.

This isn’t ICE coverage. This is drop coverage.

ICE you force the ball handler to reject the screen, and you can at least force them down hill from the side , into your dropping big. What we are doing is straight up trailing the ball screen.

We don’t have a single guard on our team physical enough to bust a ball screen over the top. So they’re getting nailed by the pick and we are giving up shoot around type shots to the best shooters in basketball. Just as I type this CJ fouls Klay on a 3 point attempt trying to bust a screen out of control while Kanter sits in the paint.


Absolutely horrendous game planning. This is the kind of shit coaches should be fired over. Without KD this team is not all that much better than us talent wise.

obviously trying to battle double teams, attack, get teammates open... he’s doing what he can, the rest of the rotation needs to hit their open shots.

Lillard Always Always getting doubled and trapped and Steph Curry shooting wide open 3s all game. Coach Scotts needs to get fired for this absolutely disgraceful defensive scheme, my father was a HS basketball coach and he said what scotts did on his defensive scheme out to be shot by firing squad, Scotts NOT ONCE doubles or traps Steph yet Lillard every sequence every play he is doubled and trapped all play offs it gotten so extreme that Evan turner is your playmaker, but hey Coach scotts will make sure and start Aminu and harkless yet again over and over and over again
