Watch his defense over those last four minutes - Leonard cost us the game!
You mean when he doubled Curry and the weakside defender did not switch to cover? I guess you want him to Leave curry open for 3's. That didn't work in game 1 not going to work tonight.

No he didnt the backside rotations or lack there of cost us the game. It looks bad for Leonard but he’s playing 2 vs 1 when Steph comes around the screen and all the weakside guys just stand and watch him.

Eh, I disagree. We were using him to trap. It was the guard/wing that was supposed to be in the post that put up zero effort to contest the shot. Meyers was out beyond the three point line.

CJ cost us the game.

No it was Terry not calling a timeout late in the fourth. Portland was up 8 and he allowed them to go on an a 11-3 run before he called timeout. By then it was too late.

Your team didn't get a foul called on them in the last seven minutes. You got help
First half was pretty even and then they started dry humping Dame all second half and the only guy the refs had the balls to call on was that mckinnie scrub. The difference ended up being the FT count. Not that we missed too many but that we got 9 fewer despite GS playing far more physical in defense.

Couldn't watch the game? What was different to game 1? How was the Defense on Curry this time? Did we trap or double team him?

NBA has to make sure GSW get to the finals...we have already thwarted them twice.

That wasn't Leonard's fault. Most of those were the wings not defending the cutters. He also helped run the offense. One C.J. miss was a wide open three that was distributed by Meyers. One C.J. miss had Meyers wide open underneath for a simple dump off, that didn't actually happen because C.J. shot it.

Denver and GS found out how to defend Lillard.

He hasn't had a decent game since game 5 against OKC.
Dude. Everyone knows how to guard Dame. The formula isn't complicated and hasn't changed in literally years. We just don't have the capacity to adapt to it.

The real difference in the game was 3 times we fouled Curry shooting a 3. 9 free throws. Can't jump at him. If they even come close they are calling a foul, Dame on the other hand can be floored and there is no foul.
I thought the one they called when he basically kicked Dame was bullshit. I'd like to see the deep 3 when Klay Thompson ran under Dame again. Felt at least as bad as the shit they were giving Curry all game.

scrolling on r/nba, this comment fucked me even more, sad reality

You gotta feel bad for Blazer fans at this point

Terry Stotts is literally dumber than dogshit

And if that's not bad enough, they've been burning $40M in cap space each year on Turner, Leonard, and Harkless

And the icing on the cake you wonder?... Well, they're also going to lose Hood, Kanter, and Curry this offseason since they don't have the Bird rights on any of them nor the cap space

Did you guys notice that Golden State went to the empty side ball screen over and over again down the stretch? We were committed to trapping with Meyers so there is literally no helpside defense on that pocket pass to Dray. That’s why they got good look after good look.

We see trap P&R coverage and opt to run it high and get our guards pushed to half court. It’s the little things.

Play Layman in Portland

He's played great against this team too. If you have a weapon in your arsenal that you know can be effective you don't stash it away, you use it.

Blazers also need to RUN. They have nothing to lose now. So play like it. No more of this walking up the ball so you are facing a set GS defense.

Lillard was clearly fouled by Iggy before the strip. Kind of annoyed they weren’t calling shit no matter how bad it was the last 4m and we played soft D instead of being Physical.

#InGameAdjustments These are not Stotts' friends.
