What about Boogie?

Boogie is #1 on my want list. I would trade anybody but Dame and Meyers to get him - I think a Meyers/Boogie combo would be deadly. Maybe not next year, but by the following season for sure.
DMC would be our #1 scoring option regardless of whether LMA is on the team. LMA can slide back to #3 where he should be. DMC>Dame>LMA

As a fellow 'blue' poster. I will also say I'm down with the boogie-man.

Having Boogie would be unstoppable as long as Boogie actually understands that he's on a team. The only concern is "will he accept sharing the ball?" If that's true, then it would be a no brainer.

Obviously, we couldn't trade Aldridge for him because Aldridge wouldn't support this deal. That would mean it would take Batum and Leonard IMO. Leonard would be a tough player to lose, but they would need a big in return if they are even interested.

LOL - yeah, you certainly don't want people to attribute my unpopular views and opinions to you!
The only thing that is unpopular is your opinion of Aldridge. And the only reason why is how you are normally pretty rational, good NBA IQ and observant with everything else other than Batum and Aldridge.

I'd replace LA with Cuz in a heartbeat. Too bad there's no way it can happen

I know LMA wouldn't agree to a S&T to SAC - that's a no-brainer! However, a S&T to SAS for Danny Green? That makes shipping Nic to SAC a little easier. The trouble lies in the fact that SAC just signed Gay to a long-term deal, so I don't know that they'd really want Nic. It's too bad we gave up a 1st for AAA, packaging future 1sts with some sort of package revolving around CJ/Rolo/AAA (depending upon options, etc) would be ideal for us (maybe not for SAC though!). Finding trades that make sense for SAC is pretty difficult - unless they're really high on CJ and/or Leonard. And I already stated I don't like the idea of trading Leonard - I want them to play together!

Nah its not like that at all. We agree on many things and also disagree. :)
its just so similar though confusing to some.

Afflalo and Lopez would need to okay that deal, which is hardly an incentive honestly. And Danny Green would be only a 9-12 mil player. You would need way more than Green to make a sign and trade to SAS happen.

I'm only perceived as irrational with regards to LMA - but I can't help the fact that others' perceptions are often wrong. (Though I do admit that sometimes I allow hyperbole to come into the mix...I would hope that others understand that when hyperbole is used it is for illustrative reasons, and not meant to be taken literally.)
And regarding Nic - I would contend that it is others who are irrational. I've always viewed him as a role player, recognized his limitations, and set my expectations accordingly.

When we had LaMarcus and Marcus [Camby], I dreamed of adding DeMarcus if only to torment Mike Rice. Better late than never.

We are talking about arguably the best Center in the NBA and at worst the 3rd best. For 2 young players who had a few good playoff games. A core of Lillard, Aldridge and Boogie is fierce. IMO if you have a chance to get a dynamic player like Boogie who is just 24 you do it, especially if it can be done without giving up one of your current All-Stars.

Most fans on this board love the idea of trading for another teams star player but for ridiculous offers where we give up little talent.

The trade has to make sense for both teams. Cousins was voted an allstar by NBA coaches ahead of Lillard. If we get the best asset on the Kings they will want multiple enticing pieces. Batum, CJ and Meyers still probably isn't enough to get it done from their end but to say the Blazers should try to make the trade while giving up less is delusional.

I thought Malone and him were good. Then they fired him lol

Yeah DeMarcus got along great with Malone and the team had a winning record until he got injured. Then he gets fired? The management of that franchise is a joke and if they don't win in the next few years I bet he will look to leave.

It would be awesome to have a LaDeMarcus frontcourt.

i would do it if it involves eric moreland. if not then i would still do it. if we trade batum and draft picks for cousins, then i would do it. if we can still keep this year draft pick, we should that on sam dekker. then in FA we should sign draymond green. our team would instantly become dangerous
pg- damian, cj, frazier
sg- wesley, affalo
sf- green, dekker
pf- LA, meyers, freeland
c- boogie, robin

you just gotta take that trade if you have a plan on the SF spot.

Rumors are going around

Does that mean "I'm trying to start some rumors"?

Can we get Cousins?

Almost certainly not. Unless we're offering Aldridge. Who would have to agree to be signed and traded... to Sacramento. So, basically, no.

If we could would you want him?

If Zach can grow up and become a productive player on both ends, maybe Cousins can. Who knows? I'm not as virulently opposed as I once was. And Cousins has a bafflingly high drpm rating.

Basically you need to get a third team involved. San Antonio makes sense, we can send them Batum in exchange for Green and them sending over a 1st round pick to the Kings. We give up Batum, CJ, Meyers and probably a future protected 1st round pick and get Danny Green and Boogie Cousins, I can live with that.

That's a 65 win team.

Batum and draft picks aren't getting cousions. That's just nuts.

I looked at that and was like "damn that's a really good team".... that's when I knew it wouldn't work.

Getting Boogie for that package is more likely than Green leaving Golden State it is a nice thought though
