Great first post. Always good to see new members join our little online family. Some on here can be a bit off putting at first, but give them a chance. Usually just trying to be cool.
Curious how you found out about us. Heard we weren't getting many new members lately, so anytime we do we definitely look to roll out the welcome mat.

Thanks HCP. I'm actually a bit of a forum whore. i've been lurking on this one for years. Ever heard of Pirate4x4? They are (believe it or not) much worse that you guys are LOL. Ive been a member of forums since before the big social media push, and have been BOD for a few local forums as well. Im seasoned lets say. . .How did I find this? after frequenting the blazers home page for a year or so, I said to myself, there HAS to be a forum for this crap, its p-town. That's what we do. . . low and behold, here you are. Just took me a while to pull the trigger(had to find the right avatar )

When that "Nugget" got himslef banned for going against the grain on almost EVERY post. Then gets banned for it. Followed by a thread that/post that explained EVERYTHING about the ban. Lets just say. . . EPIC, I literally laughed out loud for a few minutes. Way To Be!

Now that its day two, and I have that off my chest. Who the hell am I suppose to root for now as my backup. I mean, OKC has been my #2 for years. after KD left, I was behind Russ all the way. He's a Stud. But then the cousins trade went down, then PG13, Now Mello. . . Alls im saying is that, im booooooN like Ray Felton is in town next I see them. . . LMA aint got shit on Mello, thanks for the "/" Bro. . .This Blows. It will be nice to see what the "kat man" can do with a good supporting cast.

For once, I am more optimistic than most people about this team.

My theory of basketball is that a great team is like a jigsaw puzzle. If all the pieces fit, its a beautiful thing, like the Warriors. But if you have two of the same pieces, or missing pieces, it never works. That's why I don't think either the Rockets (Harden and CP3 too similar) or the Thunder (Melo, Westy, and George all high-volume shooters) will work all that well.

Last year, we were missing pieces.

Until Nurk got here.

Then the whole thing all of a sudden beautifully and perfectly fit into place. He was our missing jigsaw piece, made the other pieces fit, and our play for those20 games proves it. Just as awful as they were to watch BN (before Nurkic), they were a joy to watch AN.

So, yes, I am optimistic. And yes, the west has gotten better - maybe- but so will we be. Vegas has us at about 42 wins?I think 50 is realistic.

Dame has gone vegan to improve his conditioning, meaning he will be more effective than ever.

CJ has noticeably added muscle, likely improving his ability to finish in the paint.

Nurkic is in the best shape of his career; the Bosnian Beast will be even more beastly than what we saw after the trade, and that will positively impact his health as well.

ET has reworked his jumpshot; 33% or better shooting from 3 this year is a foregone conclusion.

Noah and Moe have never looked better than when they were playing alongside Nurkic; just imagine how great it will be for them to have him for a full season!

Ed and Meyers are both fully healthy and ready to provide the kind of play off the bench we saw from them in 2014-15 (Meyers) and 2015-16 (Ed).

And I haven't even mentioned Shabazz, Morrow, Layman or the rookies. So many reasons to be excited!!

For starters, as this is my 1st official post here. id like to do a little prelude. If nothing else, to throw this thread into 10 million different directions, for no apparent reason. Right off the bat!

Dame, Cj, Nurk, And the rest of the blazers, if nothing else, just got another chip to put on their shoulder(s)! A big one if you ask me. . .We get to keep our roster intact, and move forward W/O further distractions. Very Nice! A bunch of the western teams gave up their benches, one of the biggest themes of the blazers roster over the last two years has been what? Depth, and Youth! EZ-Ed is coming back, Noah is, lets face it, a specimen, Dame and and CJ are just getting started, Nurk, The Chief (our best defender) and and ET. Plus Biggie is a MAN, and Zach looked like a ninja at the 5. (I don't care about his #'s, Shoot me) Oh and from now on, Nards (as my dad calls his ExWife/my mom) Shal be known, From this day Forth As: "He That Shall Not Be Named", Needs to take a giant dump on the court this year! I'm ready to sick my 8year old on him just to watch him cry, again. . . (yes i've seen the vid, that coach has nothing on my boy) Plus the Pretty Boy Twins waiting in the wings, chomping at the bit for playing time. I'm Excited to say the least.

Lets Face it, This year is bound to be Epic, Who cares what everybody else does. Lets do this!
