What are your expectations for the postseason?

If we win 0 games, it'll be disappointing for sure.
If we win 1 game, our guys will learn that the playoffs are a whole different animal.
If we win 2 games, we will have won more playoffs games that last year, nyah!
If we win 3 games, we'll definitely be a team on the rise because presumably we'll be better next year.
If we win our first round series, no words for the joy I'll feel, or the delight I'll take in the Clips misery. Any form of sucess in the 2nd round will be gravy.

One thing I'll be curious; if we hack a Jordan who do we have on the floor? Really no sense in worrying about defense in such a situation. I'd probably go;

Dame
CJ
Roberts
Crabbe
Aminu

Once Roberts racks up some fouls have Vonleh or Pat come in for him. If it's the 4th quarter could have Crabbe or Hendo even foul some; I wouldn't want them to pick up fouls early in the game though.

Main reason I'd consider not hacking; if our bench is wearing out their team. The hacking gives starters a lot of rest and we might want to have CP3 exhausted by the 4th. That team has historically struggled in the clutch to almost Thunder levels. I think a big reason is starters being exhausted at the end since they've had a shitty bench for years.

Steal homecourt from the Clips...beat them in 5 games and compete in the next round win or lose but I have no expectations at all...it's just a wish list

Kaman and Vonleh

Not that it means anything, but Jay Mohr just said the following on his radio show:
Jay Mohr said:
The Trail Blazers are going to get the 5 seed. That means they're going to play the Clippers! I'm telling you, they're going to beat the Clippers. Damian Lillard against Chris Paul? OHHH! I can't wait!

Yep, the hack-a-Jordan worked so well last time - right up to the closing moments when they needed somebody to play actual defense without fouling.

Yeah we've got a lot of national praise the last few weeks. Well really since Dame went on his post allstar break rampage. But I've heard many national experts pick us as the one team in the west who could make a first round series interesting and possibly get an upset. Nice to get some praise but at the same time doesn't mean a thing on the court where we'll certainly be an underdog.

To watch CJ get even Rivers and shove the ball up his butt. That would be live up to my expectations.

My expectation is that the Blazers put every ounce of themselves in every game, and play to win regardless of the outcome...regardless of the naysayers

This is more the lines I'm looking at; how we play and what level we play at. Way too many NBA critics judge entirely from a win loss result.

We lack depth in the front court and the playoffs are notorious for slowing down the pace.

I think we may win a few but I expect a first-round loss.

But this will be great experience for this young core.

Agreed.

However, despite going into the matchup with less wins and a seemingly worse team than last year, I feel way more confident that this series will be a lot more competitive.

Last year felt like walking into our impending doom.

I expect us to go 82-0 in the postseason.

Like Dame's, my expectations are to win the championship and I will be devastated if we lose whether it's the first, second, third, or fourth rounds.

I don't get all the people who are thinking we are shark bait in the playoffs...we have every chance to win...regardless it's been an exciting season...if we finish out with W's we will.be 45-37 not bad...with all the close games we should and could have won we'd be in the fifties in the W collumn

I'll be pretty bummed if we can't knock off the Clips without Paul and Griffin.

I don't really want to think ahead to GS, but I'm really hoping we can come out strong tomorrow and just smash them.

So..... how have your expectations changed? Have they changed?

Pretty much your second quote. At this point we should win the series, however not even thinking about round 2 yet. :)

Cautiously optimistic. I now feel like we should win the series, but even though the Clippers are reeling with their injuries, this is still a best of three series and the Clippers have home court advantage.

I want to see Lillard and crew come out in game 5 and step on their throat, and leave the Clips no hope, but something tells me it'll be tougher than anticipated to put them out of their misery.

It is SO important to come out strong in game five and just kill any hope they have of staying in the series. I hate to call it a "must win," but the last thing we need right now is to give them any confidence.

This.

I expect us to win this series easily. And then we have a great chance to sweep the Warriors in the next round. Without Curry, the Warriors aren't scary AT ALL and they can't guard us. I don't know what to expect in the WCF. If it's the Thunder, I like us to win in 5. If it's the Spurs, I'm not so confident. Depends on how Aldridge plays.
