Though it may not be likely (at least I hope not), At the pace they're going right now, 3 games out after 9 could become 6 out after 18 or 12 out after 36. You following me genius. This team needs to start playing some serious baseball before they end up being so far back by mid season that the'll never catch up. Did this REALLY need explaining?

Not quite, key words= they COULD win as many as 92 games... a bit of a difference between saying THEY WILL win 92 games and they could win as many as 92.
Look here, I've said I believe the Yanks will win approx 90 games, sorry if I didn't provide an EXACT number but I certainly think they'll win more than what YOU and the High Council of Majority of the board thinks.
I say APPROX 90 wins!

Have you taken a look at Toronto's and Boston's SP?
Baltimore? Yes, they seem to have a pretty good team within the A.L. East- top to bottom, lineup, SP, bullpen....imo.

Don't you think it's appropriate since some of "us" are wringing our hands after a 3-6 start? I'm not looking for any medals or pats on the back, I could look silly if the Yanks win 80-ish games and finish near the basement....I'm just trying to inject a bit of perspective from my point of view.....after all, this DOES concern the Yanks performance coupled with a few opinions which are sort of indicating the thought of the Yanks' chances of competing for a playoff spot are "wrong" or ridiculous - after nine games -

Wins or Loses of any kind, can loom Big believe it or not; come the end of September. Thats why they start in April, and don't think of a minute the Yanx will pull out of this Admins/Owners/GM, has failed to provide for a PS Team. I'm fkn sorry, I don't see it. Saw a couple of ESPN on Cashman, First that he was "dumb founded" by the Yankees lack of defense. Guess what Brian, look at the dumb deals you made to get "younger and better" Fail. In conjunction the 2s article dealt with how Dombrowsi in Detroit has cleaned Cashmans Plow in trades beginning while Dombrowski was in Miami. I'd like to see a mob of angry Yankee Fans storm the Executive Offices drag out the brass and hang them all from yard arms.

...Cashman was responsible for the mediocrity of the last 2 years...so the Steins decided to reward him for that by giving him a new contract and 3 years to correct the mistake that had already been made. Not one of his off season moves has improved this team.

A 2 run deficit after 4 last year and you could change the channel.

I don't see this team getting to 90 wins but I'm not sure the division winner gets to 90 either. I know it's easy to be down on this team but they're not the bad news bears - they could easily have won 2 of 3 in all 3 of those series. Whether they can do that against division rivals from here on out will be a big factor in where they end up.I know I'm an optimist but I can still see 85-88 wins.
