What you fail (REFUSE) to understand is that we are simply making an observation as to how bad this team looks after 9 games. You however are taking that to mean that we are all giving up & writing this team off for the year.
Now, seriously let it go.
Rick, I wasn't trying to stir up any crap or argument, believe me.
But seriously, i just thought it was appropriate and fair to give my (differing) opinion on how "bad" a team looks after the first 9 games.
I certainly agree if the team started 1-8 or 0-9 and were already 7-8 games out of first placw I would find it alarming and worrisome, or if this was a crucial part later in the season if the team was in the hunt for a playoff spot.
The reason I mention the other teams in their division - and you can include other WC team contenders - is because THEY are the competition the Yanks are up against.
I admit the team hasn't played well and I'm absolutely aware they have a couple of older players with recent history problems, I'm hoping they all don't fall down together like a house of cards...lol......nevertheless, I just thought it was fair to try and kinda give a different perspective with 153 games left.
Okay, I'm done here unless you have a question for me. Lol
Always remember, I do enjoy and welcome some passionate
Simple math exercise.... 3-6, 153 remaining. Can we agree that 9+153=162 ?
To win 90: requires 90-3=87 more wins
153-87=66. To double check. 66+6=72, 72+90=162. Check
Therefore. This team needs to play. 87-66. 0.569 rate. A rate this team hasn't done since 2012.
Yeah but this 2015, not 2012.
Just thought I'd toss in that little tidbit.

I don't see this team getting to 90 wins but I'm not sure the division winner gets to 90 either. I know it's easy to be down on this team but they're not the bad news bears - they could easily have won 2 of 3 in all 3 of those series. .
