1. Miller is by far our best PG and should start. Poor Blake has no chance.

2. Oden is our best center and should start. He looks great. Pryz... see above.

3. Batum and Webster didnt really impress... but i still think webby is a better all around player then batum. Webster played 30 minutes so im guessing batum will get more min tomorrow night.

4. SERGIO STILL SUCKS LMAO!

5. Still seems like we don't match up well vs the Kings. Why?

6. LA looks in mid season form.

7. Roy might have a nagging injury or is just not a fan of pre season. Numbers looked sergio like and thats bad.

8. Hard to believe blazers didnt break 100 vs sac.

Roy had a tweaked hammy that limited him in the fan fest and I imagine it was still bothering him here in tonight's game.

I never worry about Roy though, especially in preseason.

Think you have to come away impressed with Greg. Just by listening to him on the radio, he sounded pretty good. Andre, LaMarcus. The big guys combined for 38 points tonight. If we can get 40 plus a night from those two. That would be a very good thing.

tweet from BE says nate may hold out joel for tommorows game any reason why?

He got kneed in the liver by a Sacto player (and subsequently called for a blocking foul by Lazy Ref). I bet he's not feeling so great.

anyone find a highlight of GO's 17 foot turnaround jumper yet?

Are we sure it wasn't a typeo? That shot gave him 17 points, so until I actually see it, I don't believe it was from 17 feet.

What did we learn? Sounds like Oden is rejuvenated, LMA was stroking it, Roy was probably cruising it, Miller can dictate the tempo of a game, Sergio still sucks :devilwink:, Jason Thompson and John Brockman are going to help the Kings' woeful rebounding, Evans sounds like a shooting guard, Nic and Rudy probably need some rest, Webster needs as much PT as he can get, Blake still is good at what he does, but probably can't take over a game, the replacement refs probably suck ... and we learned never take too much away from the first preseason game.

Thought:
Tonight may be the last time Joel starts when Oden is healthy.

That Outlaw still may be our best 3 pt shooter. 20 minutes for Travis is perfect.

Those of us not at the game learned absolutely nothing.

Nothing at all.

nah you can look at the box score and still see sergio blows.

I was there. It wasn't 17 feet or a turnaround jumper. I'd guess he was about 12 feet out, with his back to the basket. He then faced his man up, who played off him, and thats when he stuck a nice little jumper. It was a pretty nice shot!

A 12 footer sounds great to me!

Oh no, what you didn't see is the way Sergio kept their heads above water with his crisp passes and the way he utterly demoralized Steve, Andre and Bayless (I'm pretty sure I heard one of them crying through the radio).

If not for Sergio the Kings would have lost by 30 like they did last pre-season.

I learned that replacing Future Hall of Famer Sergio with a worthless scrub like Andre Miller caused us to win by a smaller margin against Sacto than last year.

Greg looked great tonight after what we saw of him last season. Just a whole lot leaner and he skied up high for a block in the second half, and he has a lot more confidence on the offensive end. I was happy to see it.

And Andre Miller is going to help this team out a lot. He's just saavy, and brings a calming presence while seeing the floor real well.

And Brandon really looked like he lost some weight. Hopefully he's able to withstand the pounding over the season at 205. I'm not too worried about him though. Once the game counts, he'll be back.

Overall, I think we looked real good and real deep and once we get it together, it could be scary.

Indeed. With those two moves KP has doomed this team to a string of mediocrity, while Sergio is about to lead the resurgent Kings back to their glory days.

FUCK!!! WHY GOD?!!?!?! WHY DID WE FORSAKE HIM TOO SOON? We might as well admit it, Maris ... was right :sigh::dunno:

LOL!!! I love sergio bashing! The guy is just not a good player. I just dont undestand why anyone thinks he has any chance of ever being good. His game is so limited.

Sergios biggest problem is he thinks he is better then he really is. Someone needs to sit that annoying kid down and tell him hes a 3rd stringer on a bad team. I mean, I still laugh that SERGO demanded a trade. What a little puke.

In all honesty... if i could choose between bassy and sergio.... i would pick bassy 100 times.

Harlow is too good for sergio. She only dates the top tier players on the team.

Although.... i could see her making a play for Rudy.

Sergio would have a better chance to start then get harlow.

you missed the joke entirely

4. SERGIO STILL SUCKS LMA....O!
LaMarcus Aldridge... Oh
there was a rumor that LA and Haarlow had something going on

I learned the Kings will stop at nothing!

Fun night. Oden looked very good, and Miller is clearly going to be a force for us. On a personal note, I caught a Wells Fargo parachute!

I'd estimate it at about 13 feet - just outside the left side of the key, a step or so in from the FT line. And your description is correct. He turned and faced up his man. When the defender backed off, Oden calmly knocked down the open shot.

That little 12 - 14 foot jumper is a GREAT weapon for a big man. It keeps the defense honest, it is often open on the pick and roll and is one of the seams in most zone defenses. A big man who can knock down an open jumper from just inside the FT line is a valuable asset - specially if that same big man is a beast on the low blocks, at great defender and an elite rebounder.

I was very impressed with Greg tonight. He still has a ways to go, but the progress was huge. He also had a great drop step (to his left) right around Hawes in the first quarter. The footwork was superb - like I remember from his year at Ohio State and his pre-draft workout videos. He sealed off and spun right around the defender like he wasn't even there. Great stuff.

He couldn't get rid of the ball fast enough last season when he had an open 12' shot. I love it!

Yeah, I laughed when it looked like he was going to shoot it...kind of like "oh no"...then he actually shot it and it looked pretty decent...GO Greg!

Miller also showed why he may actually fit in with this team just fine. The Blazers actually did run a bit with him in the lineup and he drove on a couple fast breaks as well. Unfortunately, with Roy cruising we didn't get a chance to really see the Roy/Miller dynamic tonight.

Wait, the Kings had glory days? When? I must have missed it. Were they in Cincinnati, or Kansas City at the time?
