he couldn't shoot to save his life last season and most of this season. it's no shocker that he gets more reps and minutes and his shooting percentages go up. taking more shots and getting into a flow is vital for shooters.

Folks who said such hogwash never watched him in college. He was an excellent shooter in college. He also has good form.

MAybe 2-8 from 3 prior to tonight is too small of a sample to judge him on. From what I know he was a acceptable deep threat in College. He has a decent form. I don't know that he'll ever be more than a 36% from 3 kind of guy but I think that is acceptable from someone who makes up for that by getting to the line a ton.

1 GAME. calm down. let me see bayless do this on the road trip and i will shut up.

crazy what happens when you are actually allowed consistent minutes!
Sure was awesome we wasted his rookie year in favor of Sergio!

sergio? u mean the guy we should never trade?

MIXUM are you this negative in the rest of your life or do you save it for us?

NO, YOU CALM DOWN, YOU CALM DOWN!!!11!

Is that an official promise? That didn't work out well for you last year. ;)

OR the year before that...or the year before that...or the year before that... Or the year before that...or the year before that... or the year before that... etc...etc....

Should I be?

Bayless 4 of 11 .363

Ohh I get it I was being sarcastic about Blakes 3pt percentage. Yah know cause he starts becasue he is such a deep threat for us.

By the way, notice Pendergraph's 29 points in the same game.

Arizona State (15-7, 5-5 Pac-10) needed all of Pendergraph's production to overcome a career-high 39 points by Arizona star Jerryd Bayless, who hit his first seven shots from the floor, including four from 3-point range. Bayless came within two points of the McKale Center scoring record of 41 points for an Arizona player, set by former Wildcat Al Fleming against Detroit on Jan. 10, 1976.

"I want to take full credit for the defensive mastery that held (Bayless) below 40," said ASU coach Herb Sendek, whose team snapped a five-game losing streak.

LMAO.

Your right, he was a good shooter in college. I remember him hitting many big outside shots while at Arizona. His problem in the NBA has always been lack of confidence, most likely caused by a short leash by McMillan.

He was a very good shooter in college, and I remember Brandon Roy saying he was draining shot after shot in the pre training camp workouts last season. As I have said since we drafted him, he is he perfect guard to play next to Brandon

bigbailes I told you last year Bayless could shoot and he was going to be a NBA star with the Blazers or another team. I know you didn't like him at least not playing pg but he is the perfect fit next to Roy especially if he can shoot like he did in college. I thought all along Bayless is our pg of the future if given the chance. Sure he will have his bad games but Blake/Miller have more then thier share and Bayless will have many games like he had tonight.
