I don't know. I just don't see him as very valuable for a team to spend more than the MLE on, if even that.

Well when players like splitter or Jefferson are getting their money; it's a crazy market

Darren collison would be optimal,

Disagree. He's too puny. We need a big PG because both McCollum and Lillard will play off the ball. Shaun Livingston! Julyan Stone would've also been good, but the Raps signed him.

Rasta, who's this year's Sarunas Jasikevicius?

I like the idea of livingston but didn't watch him play at all last year. If Livingston can run the offense when Lillards out then hell yea sign him

Disagree. I think we need a journey who won't get minutes, but will mentor McCollum. A second coming of Ronnie Price type. We don't want someone who'll be pissy about their 3rd string role.

If I thought we were tanking, then I'd be fine with McCollum as our backup PG. (Like what Abbott said about the Magic trying Oladipo at PG - "sneaky tanking".) But if we're trying to please Aldridge, then we need an actual PG. Who wouldn't be "third string" but would be like Maynor. Or he could even start alongside Lillard.

Well Withey is gone. Freeland to the rescue?

Update:

Lillard/McCollum/////xxx
Wes/McCollum/////Barton/Crabbe
Nic/xxx/////Barton
LMA/TRob//////Claver
RoLo/Leonard///////TRob/Freeland

xxx (BPA)
where the tentative (9-man) rotation players are to the left of the /////s

Sorry man, but I still see Freeland glued to the bench.

I would clearly plug Wes in as the back up SF as well as the starting SG. He will need minutes there if we are going to give McCollum and Crabbe/Barton any at SG. He is more of a back up SF then McCollum is a back up PG.

We need a 2nd PG.

I'd like us to get either Corey Brewer or Nate Robinson, but I don't think Corey would sign with us for 4 mil. Now if we didn't have that Joel Freeland....

We could probably pick up Tyrus Thomas on the cheap as he just got amnestied.

Apparently the Warriors will renounce Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry to be able to sign Iguodala!

What about Wesley Johnson? He could probably be had pretty cheaply, considering how little he's shown so far in his career. I wouldn't mind bringing him in to be Nic's backup.

I would not be surprised if Denver gives in on a sign and trade to get the exemption, then GS can keep all of the trade exemptions plus Landry and Jack.

He played well late. Would be solid if we could get him.

Are Udrih and Delfino still available? They would make sense.

I could definitely get behind both of those. I'd think they should both get more than we would be able to reasonably offer, but they would be excellent options.

A big meh for me; but what can you expect with 4 mil

1) A vet who can help distribute, really don't want to enter the season with no true point guards without at least a vet 3.

My preferences: Billups, Andre Miller, or Vince Carter
The last two are under contract but we could get them I think, giving up maybe Barton or someone and offering their teams cap relief.

2) A vet center

Jermaine O'neal preferrably.

Miller (24) / Lillard (24)
Lillard (12) / Matthews (12) / McCollum (24) - Crabbe
Batum (32) / Matthews (16) - Claver
Aldridge (34) / Robinson (14) - Claver
Lopez (24) / O'neal (24) - Leonard

I think that wouldn't be the most talented team, but would be very balanced and consistent. Give someone like Miller the respectful nod to start and get Aldridge going early/team in a flow, but only play him 20-24 a night.
