What happened to this Ron Paul?

If Ron Paul came out at the debates with this much energy, I think he could really rock the presidential election and really begin to have a more serious candidacy.

This video has so many gems.

Like when Ron Paul was saying how they had no drug laws in the 19th century, and there wasn't any drug crime. Then the one dude said "There weren't any speed limits either" and Ron Paul said back "There weren't any cars either".

Then when the fascist girl kept referring to Libertarian, like the Liber in Libertarian meant Liberal.

They kept referring to Paul as a drug user, even though one of the first things he said was that he detests drugs.

The host guy that was chainsmoking and mocking Paul, died of lung cancer for his smoking : D

Everything he says makes perfect sense. When will America wise up and finally listen?

I was watching the GOP debate on Fixed news & the moderator (the younger Wallace (?)) who asked R Paul about not being a Republican to which he totally sent that softball into the bleachers.... it was freakin sweet.

The only candidates who have a toehold on being a Reagan Republican are; RP & Fred T IMO.

I think that the socialist ideas of the democrats are great, but lets hold off on that. I think we should let Ron Paul get 8 years in the White House. Let him try to be the first one since Andrew Jackson to balance the deficit. I think he should (but he won't) lead the charge in getting George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, George H.W. Bush, and the Bin Ladens thrown in jail for treason for leading us into a war for their monetary benefit. Honestly, it would have saved the country a lot of money if we just cut a check to those bastards for the amount they ended up making off the war. Now we have Bush selling missiles to terrorist central, Saudi Arabia. Honestly, if you have watched Sicko at all, he talked about how the French people protest when something is wrong. The American people should protest like the French, and put Bush's head on a pike.

Then when our country actually has money, hand the country over to 8 years of Obama, where he significantly improves the education system, gets us universal healthcare (since he will be able to with more money), and improve America socially, while living in constraints of a budget. No more borrowed money.

This country pisses me off. Maybe people should read the constitution and see whats actually in it.

I'm not saying he should just throw them in jail. I'm saying he should get the snowball rolling on getting them through the court system, have them have their trials. Put Bush up at the stand, not any of that 9/11 commission crap where he refused to testify under oath.

Treason is a very specific crime, and is not at all applicable to anything the current administration has done. Nor can the President be put on trial while in office.

It's also difficult to make the case that Bush has somehow profited from being president. He may get book deals and paid nicely for making speeches after he leaves office, like Clinton did.

Bush listed his net worth at $27M last year at tax time. $27M makes him one of the poorest (wealth-wise) of our presidents in recent history. Clinton would have been less wealthy, though he lived in a mansion all his adult life and was driven around by a chauffeur and his meals made by a professional chef...

Kerry was worth at least $500M, Romney a similar amount, Bloomberg (mayor of NY) is worth in the $billions, Perot was a billionaire, too.

That and treason is going to be a hard thing to charge him with. He has the authority to deal with our enemies at the highest of diplomatic levels if he chooses.

You know, this fear mongering has really got to stop. I was never scared by all the rhetoric about terrorism, tho I do think it's prudent to try to keep the Golden Gate Bridge from being the next target.

What I am scared of is the republicans appointing justices who'll end abortion, the republicans will kill social security, the republicans will kill medicare and take away benefits from the elderly, the republicans win and they'll be using fire hoses on black people again, and that kind of thing.

As long as we are taling about R. Paul possibly being a racist. He was being interviewed by Bill Moyer on PBS last night.

RP said racism is a form of collectivism i.e trying to put people in categories. Libertarianism is the anithesis to Collectivism.

Good call IMO. It seems that if you can keep people supressed and divided then it is that much easier for the powers that be to have control.

RP also mentioned that its only in the last few centuries that individual had any true power and we are in the process of tossing that all away if we continue on the course we are on.

Wouldn't shock me if Bush only had $27 million even with that, the guy is an idiot, and had failed business after failed business.
