What I'd Change Next Game Is...

well, they came out with the same energy and many of the same mistakes, so it was easy to assume they didn't learn anything.
if they = players, then it would seem to me that "they" are the problem. Kobe, Coach K, and Lebron seem to think Nate is a great at teaching the game, so maybe he needs students who can retain the knowledge he is communicating.

Message boards are full of both facts and opinions. The way you described your opinion came across to me as something you thought was fact, so I guess that is what I took objection to, especially since I didn't believe your opinion/fact to be true. I love your passion for your opinion, and more importantly, I love breaking down the game with someone such as yourself.

I appreciate both of you breaking down the game this way. Just don't get so passionate that it becomes an assault on each other. This was very helpful discussion. :ghoti:

I wouldn't change much on defense since Portland is doing that about as well as they have all season. I would prefer Scola and Landry take the majority of shots then Yao and Brooks. I am also fine with Battier taking 25 foot 3's from the top of the key. He isn't going to make that shot every time. Frankly, if Houston plays as they did in game 3 for the rest of the series, they will loose.

Don't take this as if I think no one could play Houston better on D. I just think this is about as good as Portland is going to do this year.

On offense Portland needs to give Rudy more burn, Outlaw less run and take advantage of when Yao isn't on the floor. Force Houston to adjust instead of going smaller when Houston does.

One thing that would be awesome if Portland could do it is dumping the ball into Oden in the post. The sad fact is that Oden never got comfortable there due to Portland running almost no plays for him during the season. This is the time when that oversight comes back to bite Portland in the ass.
