Plus you still could trade future draft capital to acquire another game changer as well.YES!
Let's say Pop / Ownership wanted to see what's out there. Would you trade Sharpe / Ant and the # 3 ? The Odd Couple ( Chris Broussard, Rob Parker) on Fox Sports Radio, were tossing it around yesterday.
That's why i included Ant. They traded away their PG. Dame and Wemby would be awesome together for at least 5 years. After that, you have plenty of time to add others.I'd rate our assets as Sharpe - #3 - Dame - Ant
No I wouldn't trade Sharpe and #3, but yes that is tempting. Yes I would trade #3 and Ant (or #3 and Dame). Then you can pair Sharpe and Wemby. Just getting Wemby isn't enough.
I don't think the Spurs do Wemby for Sharpe and #3 from their end. One of those trades that just has too much risk to both teams so we won't see it.
Like what. Remember, the Spurs are in a youth movement ( Johnson, Vassell, Sochan).if the Spurs actually do that, which they absolutely won't, they'd get much better offers than what Portland can make
They'd want Sharpe, sorry.Ant Nurk Nas Keon #23, all 5 2RPs for Wemby, yes please
if the Spurs actually do that, which they absolutely won't, they'd get much better offers than what Portland can make
Exactly. It made me think about it being plausible. Because of their youth, you add Sharpe, Ant, and the #3 which may end up being Scoot. That's a nice return. And a potential juggarnaut in the making.I don't know that they will, thats why we don't see the #1 pick traded.
I guess we saw #1 traded for Kevin Love, but it was a #1 pick about as valuable as this years #5. It wasn't a historic #1 prospect as this season. Also the team with the #1 pick had LeBron James agree to sign.
I just don't see many teams able to give the Spurs enough for it to still make sense for their team. If the Spurs had veterans to win now it might open up possibilities. But even Giannis for Wemby doesn't make sense from the Spurs end.
Then if you don't look at contending teams; how is a team flipping enough young assets to the Spurs going to make sense over them just keeping they super amazing young asset of Wemby?
If the Spurs were really high on one of Scoot/Miller then thats about the only trade that would make sense, dropping a few spots. I don't see this at all as plausible, but we've seen similar trades with those pick slots through the years such as Webber(Penny) or Fultz(Tatum).
If they did, they'd have a youthful team with Johnson , Sochan, Vassell, Sharpe, Ant, Collins , and the #3 pick ( Miller, Scoot, Amen). That's pretty cool
Sure, but any of these picks could have that happen. Hey i hope Sharpe IS Kobe too.Blazers trading Sharpe, Ant, #3 for Wemby and him losing his career to injuries would be about the most Blazers thing ever.
They're both real so deal with it.is this the official Aliens & Bigfoot thread?
Like what. Remember, the Spurs are in a youth movement ( Johnson, Vassell, Sochan).
if the Spurs actually do that, which they absolutely won't, they'd get much better offers than what Portland can make
Meanwhile the Blazers get another potential generational talent, and the potential to add Zach Levine with those future picks unlocked.
Like picking another one & doner . Time to add quality game changers who are ready now. Not still needing pacifiers and their diapers to be changed.I think it's time to let it go.
Man he can play. Explain.God damn what a bummer everything would be if we got lavine. Just yuck.
Man he can play. Explain.
He can be so good, but i get that. I was thinking about DeRozan as well. He can play the 2 G like he did in Toronto. Nurk, Wemby, Grant, DeRozan, and Dame. Probably better. Lotz of buzz coming out of Chicago.Because he's not a game changer so he'd just be a mediocrity cog.
Playing and making a difference are not the same thing, unfortunately.
I would trade any combination of assets including Dame for Wemby and I bet Spurs would say no
