I'll be in town this weekend. just looking for typical hipster/portland shit to do.

small batch coffee. artisanal products. farm to table eating. etc etc etc.

any new stores/restaurants/neighborhoods i should hit up?

:MARIS61:

You're too early for plate to pitchfork. I enjoy basa-basa wings. If you've never been to Dove Vivi you really need to eat some.

cool, yelp bookemarked.

I liked Alberta Street last time I was there...might hit up pine state and buy shit. I know Missisipi is another good area like that

anywhere else?

I know you're a fan of pok pok. Their new restaurant, also on Division, just opened I think.

are there any interesting Memorial Day weekend activities such a street fairs, beer fest and all that stuff

hoop fam

My favorite part of my city is hitting up all rad brewfests every summer.

Pok pok is on division did they open up another one?

It's a noodle house on division and 34th. I can't figure out the name though. We checked out the menu on sunday and it seemed interesting.

You missed the 90 degree weather by a week, brosiff.

This weekend it's going to be overcast and in the upper60's.

oh, i got to try that chicken rice pod downtown.

kind of portlandy, but I had some ice cream from a place yesterday...they churn the ice cream using a bicycle. lol

Nong's? I assumed you had. That is a must try. Then buy a bottle of her sauce to take back to LA.

yeah, never been to Nongs...always closed when I end up there. I'll mail it and some Burgerville secret sauce.... i never check in anything. :MARIS61:

Yeah, just realized you probably weren't checking anything. She'll ship to you. Or, she shipped some to me, so I assume she still will. If you were in SD and LA I'd just give you a bottle. Since I was paying for shipping I got 4 or 6 of them.

I'm not sure when she sells out by. She has a few locations though, so maybe the others aren't as busy/likely to sell out.

yeah, I have shipped large quantities of various sauces in the past...so used to having a stockpile. hah

whats a good trendy/upscale restaurant with a bar scene..kind of like Departure lounge...but not Departure Lounge.

Go to ABM's and try his variations of the Kraft mac and cheese.
