Hit up my bro's restaurant, The Red Fig on NE 46th and Fremont!

About 5 minute drive from Alberta^

Red Fig is on my yelp bookmark list, but prob won't make it this weekend. it seems very portlandy though.

probably going to grab some stumptown beans for myself at their location next to the Ace Hotel. Art musuem might be cool, but I like the history museum better in that block.

Are you a big coffee drinker? If so, you should check out Tonx (LA company). They roast small batch beans and ship directly to you every other week. Since there isn't much selection down here in SD we get that and then buy from one of the local shops on the off weeks.

yeah. I mostly do Nespresso every morning but I do brew occasionally...just a time factor thing for me. I have easy access to good stuff here in LA though..Intellegensia, Handsome Coffee Roasters and there are a few places I can buy Blue Bottle. I believe we're getting a stumptown in Downtown LA later this year.

SD, at least downtown, sucks for coffee. The place downstairs has decent beans, but can't pull a shot to save their lives. Another spot asked me if I wanted skim or whole milk...I ordered an Americano.

Back to PDX, last time I was there I tried Boke Bowl (ramen). I remember it being tasty. There was also a good small coffee shop right around the corner from it, but I have no clue what the name was.

I might check it eventually..but LA has really awesome Ramen shops. I think one of my cousins reco'd that too.

I am going to hit up Sayler's Old Country Kitchen.

Didn't do much. More old school stuff I did.

Burgerville- love this place. had a collosol with spread, fries with spread and some of those fried asparagus sticks. pretty bomb.

hit up Pine State Biscuits. Holy shit that place is the bomb. long wait though (Alberta)

hit up the city fair. pretty ghetto, pretty empty (weather sucked) but I used to go a lot as a kid so memories. didn't go in i think they wanted to charge $10? wtf. hit up Saturday market which was cool.

Went to COMPOUND to see if they had any new Lillard Gear since they dropped his ROY shoes. nada.

Sayler's was bomb. forgot how good a value that was..had a gigantic porterhouse, complete meal..it was like 30 bucks. steak was pretty fucking solid...i miss this place.

It's been so long since I've been to the Old Country Kitchen, the last time I went it was their Beaverton location. I did watch my father's friend accomplish the 72 oz challenge, however.

yeah, i used to go there all the time. this was actually the first time at the SE location. love those onion rings and that relish platter!

Aybla Mediterranean food cart>>>
The super lamb gyro is so good, their lamb is dope

yeah, those food carts and pods....so dope. so real..the ones in LA have a distinct fakeness to them, like they were started by some food bloggers with some extra cash and want to express themselves creatively instead of people who are actually passionate about the food.
