Zombie What is the Best Offer We Could Get for C.J. McCollum? (2 Viewers)

Except LeBron is a free agent sooooo why would he want the 76ers to give up good stuff to get him? If LeBron is leaving why wouldn't the Cavs want Fultz, Saric, and #10?

It makes no sense.
Lebron's current contract has an opt in for next year for $35M. Philly basically only has $30M in capspace. So, Lebron can make more money if he works an opt-in and trade than if he simply leaves as a free agent.

Hence the "good stuff" comment. The 76ers can easily dump Bayless to make the bigger offer possible (hopefully to us).

I want the result. Cut the Cavs out and deal directly with the Sixers.

Not interested in discussing it because I'm against it unless we get LeBron James in return. If you can come up with a trade idea where we get James, I'll listen.

Include it with our 24 And maybe harkless and move up enough in the draft to get into the top five

A team would be pretty dumb to give up a top 5 pick for that package. Is Billy King GM for one of them?

I would do CJ for the 10th pick and Markelle Fultz. Fultz is a wild card but he's a #1 pick two years ago, very talented just not sure what the deal is with his shoulder, and you get the 10th pick? No brainer.

who would you target at 10th?

Impossible. #24 plus #10 plus Harkless doesn't get you even to #7.

How about Turner/10/24 for Parsons/4? Any y'all think the Grizz would consider that?

Combining the first deal, that essentially works out to CJ/Turner/24 for Fultz/Parsons/4.

Don’t think that’ll happen but I wouldn’t mind. Parsons can sit at the end of the bench with Meyers!

So you view CJ as the second best player in the league?

I said maybe harkless.

Maybe it takes more, but this is what I was thinking in the end. Something like this.

I agree that it won't happen; I personally don't think the Sixers would offer Fultz/10 for CJ. I don't think his value is anywhere close to that high.

I know you said Harkless, but he's not enough to match Parsons, which is why I said Turner instead. If Harkless, you'd need to add Aminu as well. Layman would also be included in either deal, but that's ancillary.

True, but then Philly would have to give up something in return. I know it's big money to us mere mortals but James is so loaded that I don't think that would be a factor if he truly wants to go to Philly. Philly can also look to other deals to open up some more cap space

Id much prefer Turner, just thought they would value Harkless more. Didnt think about the contracts.

HAHAHHA IM a homer....

I don't think a McCollum for DeRozan deal makes us all that much better, personally.
I'd look to add him to our core, but that's unlikely.
The deal with Covington, fultz and JV, I'd want fultz and JV going elsewhere.
