Yes, DeRozen is like 4 inches taller and passes the ball... and at the very least it’s worth a try just to shake things up because Dame/CJ for sure doesn’t work

Derozan Passes the ball? He did much better last year but for his career, he averages .2 apg more than CJ.
I just don't think Derozan is so much better I'd give up Harkless (who was actually playing well before he got hurt) and the 24th pick). Seems like that's too much to me.

oh come on now. Im a homer and even I know that is ridiculous. Derozen made ALL NBA second team this year and the all star team. Harkless and our 24? They would laugh their ass off. Plus the money doesn't come close to computing.
 
It was CJ harkless and the 24. So you lose your best SF, your 24 for an upgrade at the 2g, it is an upgrade no doubt but how much of one? If we do that we’re back to starting ET unless other moves happen and I don’t want to see ET as a starter...

I said that was too much. CJ, Swannigan and our pick I would do.

How is CJ too much for DeRozen??? CJ is undersized, plays offense only and doesn’t pass... and DeRozen is an All-Star... I don’t get why you think CJ value is so high

I agree Derozen is better and there is no way we get a straight across trade, BUT, SI has CJ and Derozen only a few spots apart...

A half ofthe game neither of them play. I don't care if DeRozan is taller if it doesn't come with defense.
He's also a bad shooter. Our spacing was hurt losing crabbe. Now we're gonnalose McCollum as well? Ia DeRozan better than CJ? Meh, sure. Does a straight swap make our team better? I don't see it. Adding in pieces makes it worse

Good god no to CJ for Derozan. One of our biggest problems is spacing, if we trade CJ for Derozen, who btw about all he does better then CJ is get to the line everything else he is on par or worse then CJ. If we have Derozan we are going to watch Aminue shoot 30 3's a game because he will be the only person that ever gets open.
 
Ideally we would trade CJ for a 3 who can defend and hit the 3, if we trade for a starter who can't shoot the 3 our spacing is going to be screwed.

I'd also trade up to 10 by taking on bad salary. I. 2020, having Bridges/Collins/Bamba on rookie contracts with Lillard and $60M+ in cap space would be phenominal.
 
Evan without trading Nurkic, a 3-man group of Nurkic/Bamba/Collins would be terrific defensively, all are 7-footers, two of them can shoot 3s and guard the perimeter.

I think Bamba is the best player in this draft. He should go #1.
