Oh, Oh oh!!!!!!!!

"You ever see the sun come up over the Rockies? It hits all of a sudden, and below there's California, and you swear you're lookin' at Heaven."

"Do you feel lucky punk?................well, DO YA!?"

One of the funniest things I ever heard from the Broadcast booth occurred during a Phillies Game broadcast by Kalas and Ashburn. Kalas was calling a portion of the game talking about the hitters number of home runs then commented "you only hit 29 home runs in your career Richie. Ashburn came back with "that was 29 more than you hit".

That is great. Last season the funniest thing I heard was from that idiot Sterling when Gardner hit a triple & Sterling says, "And Gardner SLIDES in with a stand up triple."

...though I don't recall actually noticing it or not when I was a kid, but I've heard stories about Diz drinking "a beer or 12" in the booth during the game. This was before pop top cans and supposedly Dean could be heard opening one every now and then. (if you remember, a beer can sounds different when open when a "church key")...anyway, the story was that the camera cut over to Diz and PeeWee in between innings and there was ole Diz drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon...needless to say, the Falstaff people were not to happy about it.

...and yeah, while I don't personally remember it, they say that the '57-'58 Series were very good...Aaron, Spahn, Burdette, et al.

Lew Burdette really did the job on the Yanks in the '57 series.....those Braves teams came very close to making quite statement vs those '50s Yank teams.
Braves had them down 2g-0 in '58 but Larsen, in one of the more BIG WS games of those years (1950s), came up with a great game shutting the Braves down....Bauer drove in the Yanks' 4 runs and Bullet Bob Turley then went on to take control of the series.

Hank Aaron was on his way to showing how great he really was as he (unlike Mays,no disrespect) was an excellent WS performer.

The one play I never forgot in that series was Nippy Jones contesting an HBP . Polish from his shoe on the ball got him a pass to first base and the game and the series went down hill from there. Tony Kubec was from Milwaukee had a big game for the Yankees in a 12-3 win.

...nice Tombstone reference, tote.

So Dock Ellis dropped acid and pitched a no no, guess that makes it a PED. I can't believe the number of old fart PED users on this board. :devilwink:

...yup, I've long since cut out the other stuff...but I'll be a pot head till the day I die.

Not a thing wrong with Cannabis at all. About Time William Randolph Hearts one man tyrannical war on Cannabis came to an end, with an open minded generation, who knows (from experience) its a helluva lot easier to toke and drive; rather than drink and drive.
Tho' my nightly ritual is for sleeping, and it just can't be beat, a vape of Indica now and then.....Yeppers....!

I said before, the 80s Nose Candy Dilemma made the 60s look like Captain Kangaroo's court, Romper Room, Sesame Street and Mister Pedophile Rogers, on any given day.....!

Freaking low life dirty pot heads.............................................I'm tellin.

Not to mention brain damaged freaking low life pot heads. From reduction of cortical dopamine, to remodeling of reward feedback mechanism (addiction) to reduced hippocampus and amygdala region volumes and finally to genotype moderation of signal transduction pathways linked to increased psychosis.

Also doesn't help that a lot of the real damning evidence is not published by academia out of fear of reprisal from powerful advocates in academia.

But its your brain.....spark up ladies.

It does affect the brain which may explain Ron's posting style.

Lets see, in my lifetime I've done........

Pot..............................CHECK
Speed..........................CHECK
Mess...........................CHECK
Acid............................CHECK
Angel dust..................CHECK
Uppers........................CHECK
Downers.....................CHECK

And I'm not as think as you stoned I am. But then again, I grew up in the 60s.

Fear is only a result of the unknown, but you knew that, and didn't mention it. Fear of reprisal, no, not since William Randolph Hearst's American Inquisition of all Mehicans, he didn't want American dollars going to feed Mehicans in soup lines, during the Depression, but you knew of his 1 man crusade too....???

Tell all this to the thousands of Epileptics, who benefit from not having to take very dangerous drugs your aware of like Adavan, (one to large a dose, and cyanara), Felbatol by Felbamate, Depakote, (shut my Son's liver down), and a shit load of others. Now these same 100s of 1,000s of Epileptics, benefit from a No T-H, or CBN, but only CBD Oils, extracted from Charlotte's Web.....

ie, google "Realm Of Caring", then go ask Alice, when she's ten feet tall, and go tell Charlotte what the Cheshire Cat had to say....!:devilwink::mook: :beatinto:

:cowboy: :inquisition::smiley-tomato::smiley-dizzy:

Rick, I just finished re-building and modifying a 454 Vette Engine, which can easily be adapted to your electric scooter, 4 on the floor, with 2 each 4 barrel Hollies, to feed the Monster. No need for Gas, runs on JP4 Jet Fuel***. Only prob is the wheels have to be 3 feet wide, just to gain traction.....I don' think that would fit in your door.

NTM- it utilizes a big semi-truck battery just to run the fuel pumps....!

***JP4 Jet Fuel, I gotta' lifetime pass to EAFB, where we can fill that monster up for free....!!! From Queens to Mojave's Desert, we can simply put easy attach and detach wings on it, so you can fly out for every refill.....!

when I was going thru College, and just began working in Aerospace, I did not watch one of those 1st 5 years sober, not at all. There were a ton of Agriculture and Chemistry Majors in that era, who teamed up to create Hydroponics systems from Heaven......

Can you say Oaxaca, Humboldt, Mendocino Greeno, Maui Waui, Thai, not sticks, but buds that weighed anywhere from 1 to 3 ounces. That and a touch of Honey Oil, and Lebanese Blonde or German Black coated (Hash Oil hardened, with green inside), what a fuking fantastic time that was, life in the Emerald Triangle....!

Again made the 60s seem like a Kindergarten birthday party....!

Ah sorry forget to mention the paranoia..... Lol!

What? who's knocking at my door, ??? oh that's only the wind......wait someone is looking thru binoculars into my house, from a tree 100 yards away......shit, I think the DOD, just sent up a satellite to spy on me......I think everything I do on the I-net is being fed to the Secret Service....

Who? Me, paranoid, not at all. beware of strangers wearing masks....! LMAO...!

Son of a secret service agent/cop. Never liked the stuff or needed it for that matter.
What was the point? To experience an altered state of reality? I still have a powerful imagination. And I preferred the
Endorphin rush during a run, or adrenaline from sports....testosterone jolt from squats and deadlifts.

As the sober guy in the room, you pot heads were paranoid beyond belief, lol!

Probably the defining moment for me was freshman year in college. Had a roommate get poisoned by his HS friend (also in our college), though it would be a hoot to give him dusted hash. He ended up in the emergency room, putting him on probation and cost his father a job (see his dad was a dean at the same school). So to me drug use had major consequences on peoples lives. As for my roommates buddy....I caught up to him 2 days later. Enough said.

...what about the evils of alcohol?... oh, but that's different, right?

...and as you well know, I workout daily and I'm privy to the same chemical "rushes" that are manufactured naturally within my own body, so it's not like I'm somehow devoid of the things you referred to, just because I'll burn one every now and then.

...your story about your friend is an exception, not the rule, not by any means because it was simply the resuly of stpuidity. Well meaning practical joke go haywire all the time so it should not be an endictment on cannibis in general.

...don't think for a second that I'm some sort of "rasta man" who walks around with a blunt hanging out of my mouth all of the time. One joint will last me over a week. I might hit it a couple of times in the evening only because it helps me to sleep much better.

...seems to me that you're the one being "paranoid".

Ah yes....the dangers of alcohol strawman. Different type of addiction and impairment. Genotype vs phenotype.
As as for THC causing paranoia..... That's clinically proven.

I'm not judging you....don't get defensive. Like I said, spark up buddy. Enjoy.
