One would hope you'd be over your acne by then. You can't breakout as a veteran?

I disagree. Count me as a Tatum skeptic: he struck me as a bit of a black hole, and Stevens will want a good defender, something he didn't demonstrate he was.I think Tatum's going to be a big part of the Celtics as a rookie. Someone opposing teams need to gameplan for.
You just described Drazen Petrovic heading for the Nets.Dribble to save your life,
Finish strong at the basket,
Rebound for shit,
Play anything that looks remotely like Defense,
Create your own shot,
and then teams game plan for your weaknesses for the first time in your career,
You just described Drazen Petrovic heading for the Nets.

Can I vote for Nurk? He semi "broke out" after the trade, but the injury stopped a full fledged "break out" season.
God they were horrid to watch last year. One of the few teams I avoided when hopping on league pass.On a side note: I pick Orlando to be the worst team in the NBA.

Bullshit. You must have no clue how he played. Petro created his own shot all the time. Petro could dribble and go to the basket. GTFO
THANK YOU!Rasta's point was before Petrovic went to NJ - which we did not see a lot of in his Blazers career - but all you really have to do is look for his Euroleague tapes from the Cibona days to see that he had the handles and the ability to attack the basket (he certainly was more comfortable creating space for a jump-shot - but he still had the handles).
Find me those highlights from his Blazers days.Bullshit. You must have no clue how he played. Petro created his own shot all the time. Petro could dribble and go to the basket. GTFO
I don't think Crabbe is going to become Petro. But I do think he's going to be given more opportunity to do things that he didn't for Stotts. He may crash and burn - we shall see.
Nurk IS going to have one. I think we all expect him to that's why nobody's talking about it. Why the league isn't, well, we know why.
With starters minutes, a full offseason of working out, more familiarity with the playbook, going through a whole training camp and preseason, and being in a contract year, I predict Nurk's line to be:
PPG: 18+
RPG: 10+
APG: 4
BPG: 2.5
SPG: 1.5
FG%: .570
MPG: 33+
IMHO this is a modest prediction but I'm predicting an MIP season for The Big Nurk.
THANK YOU!
Wait, I think..

Here's Crabbe in SL the year he was the featured player (he got injured after about one game). I think you'll see more like this if he knows he's the starter and he's got the green light:
Well then I hereby retract my Thank You.The point was that Petro did show a lot of the things that he did when playing in NJ when playing in Europe - where I am not certain that AC ever did, even in his college career.
Fine. Still better at defense and rebounding than Petro. By about the same degree.Yawn... I saw that. I watched every minute of every one of those SL games. Still no handles. Still not creating his own shot.
Generally I just use the snipping tool and paste the image.

I knew there was another reason I thought Tatum would be lucky to get minutes.Jaylen Brown has a logjam but if he gets minutes he could have a nice season.
I'm going to call bullshit on that one.And Crabbe has always had the green light.
You could not be more wrong. Drazen had a great handle, could finish in traffic and could create for others. Crabbe can do none of these things.
Here's a small sample:
Yeah, it's a highlight video, sure, but find me a highlight video of Allen Crabbe beating his man off the dribble, going behind the back and finishing in traffic at the rim. Go ahead, do it! Drazen did it multiple times in that video.
