In answer to your question OB...the thing to not do in Vegas is log on to S2
They messed it up when they covered it!I dislike Fremont Always felt way more sketch than the main strip.
and then you start itchingSometimes you have to embrace the sketch
Invite @Strenuus. you deserve a reacharound to liven up the trip.I'm going to Vegas in a month. Just for a couple days, but I'm working a wine event, and then have a couple nights to go have some fun.
Always nice to travel on someone else's dime. Even if it is Vegas (I don't love it).
I like the Golden Nugget.
The bands are great on Fremont Street.
Listen to Spandex Nation. Fun band.
There is a mob museum you might check out.
Highly recommend the Brilliant show at the Neon Museum.
Don't take Taxis. Uber is so much better.
Sometimes you have to embrace the sketch. I go into a casino in downtown and instantly feel better about my life decisions.
What to do in Vegas: go to McCarran, take any flight.

I just got back Monday night. Stayed at Park MGM and was very impressed. Monte Carlo was a dump, but they've done a nice job renovating and adding new stuff. The Eataly area is cool, they have a good Korean restaurant, and On The Record is a very nice club in there. I spent most of my time in the sports book and bar though. It's not as big as some of the other hotels on the strip, but it suits my style.
I wanna check out the Korean joint (Best Friend by Roy Choi). May not eat there though, just get a neon hat or some shit.
Most was under construction but I could walk through last time I was there.
I had spicy pork there right after I checked in. I couldn't find an empty bar stool in any bar at the hotel and I finally caught somebody leaving the bar at Best Friend and snagged the seat. I was not disappointed.
I love traditional Korean food. It's just so hard to find in Portland. e.g. Doenjang jjigae made with clams not beef and the right amount of jalapenos, of course along with the other ingredients.Roy Choi is the man, he started the whole Korean Taco craze with the Kogi Truck. He doesn't shy away from bold flavors.
No brothels, no naked girls? Count me out.So im heading out to Vegas but won't be there long enough to do all the things we want to do and i know there is alot.
So instead of asking folks what to do, i thought we could make a list of things not worht the time or mkney or both.
Now before we get carried away,
There are a few obvious items that need not be mentioned since im with my wife.
So things NOT to do:
brothels are out.
Any half nude or lingerie type show thing is out.
Meeting up with @bodyman5000 and 1 .
(I kid, if i didnt have the wife and had more time...)
Anyhow. What are some other red flags to steer clear of?
Taxes and Resort fees are out of control btw. Holy fucking shit, it says like 150 a night for a room, then for 2 nights its all of the sudden, $500.
Heading there this weekend, staying at the Palms. Gonna see how the new rennovations are.
first rule of what NOT to do in Vegas....have unprotected sex with a hooker and marry her before you can remember her name
slots...a typo?I heard they have looser slots and what not?
