Phooey.
Being a useful rotation player makes them neither "worthless" nor a future star. What the hell is wrong with just being honest?
He didn't say "future star". He said "good guys for the future", in which he included CJ, Meyers, Crabbe, and maybe Vonleh, all of whom he deemed bench players. Thus, he was decreeing that Aminu, Davis, and Harkless were all not even worthy of being future bench players--hence, worthless.
As to what's wrong with being honest--nothing. I wasn't criticizing Blazers Roy's honesty; I was calling out his judgmentalism and close-mindedness.
