Grant = Huerter + Murray + 13
Huerter rehabbing left shoulder surgery. Murray on a better timeline. 13 is for SAC getting the best player.
13 + 14 to move up for a Top 10 pick.
No chance Sac includes Murray

I really wanted Walker in the last draft and valued him at least as much as anyone else available at #3. Being so young (he turns 20 next September), I didn't expect him to play much last year and he didn't but he did flash some game. One year later you'd think the Pacers would have a pretty good idea of who they'd be giving up on. I doubt they'd part with him unless red flags were raised and/or the package coming back truly upgraded their current roster.

STOMP
Sadly you're probably right. The same thing is likely also true of Anthony Black in Orlando, which is very annoying.

Dallas is just not a good trade partner for us. But maybe it will create their in-state rival to jump into the discussion.
Yeah, there could be a third team that could make Jerami getting to Dallas work. Also that tweet said several teams have checked in, which I read as shown interest in Jerami, so Dallas getting a reasonable offer together might push other teams to act fast.

Like i said 3rd team but who would even help the Mavs ?? -- I am not saying there is no way but not sure it's possible for a Grant to Mavs deal to happen without the Blazers getting shorted a little and I for one am tired of the Blazers being on the short end of a deal.

Does Josh Green have any value to another team? I can see eating Hardaway's contract for one year but Josh has 3 years left.
Not a bad player, but I would rather give Rupert the minutes at this point. Seems like a hassle for a future pick.

That's what Dallas would have to find out. They have to find something that we would value for some of the guys they have on their roster (none of whom besides Lively and maybe OMP would make any sense for us) they aren't giving up Lively and OMP isn't close to enough. Then there's the fact that they don't have any tradeable FRPs. They have to find a team that values Josh Green and/or Jaden Hardy enough to give us at least one FRP along with OMP and Hardaway's contract.

I would also rather give Rupert and all of the rest of our young guys minutes ahead of Green or Hardy. It's a bad fit and needs a third team. Hopefully if they are working on a third team right now another team is getting an offer together that makes more sense for us.

It is frustrating to think about, considering how well those two would complement the existing elements of our rebuild. I'd love to know what the Pacers and Magic GMs would say about those young, under-utilized prospects and their interest they might have in the veteran pieces we are able to offer.

Most Laker fans suggest Rui or Vanderbilt plus Russell.

Grant for Vanderbilt and Russell? pretty yucky unless there is at least one first, a swap, and a 2nd. Hey Blazers can have 4 first's in 2029?

Blazers wouldn't get any salary relief next season with that trade. They'd need to buy-out Russell or find a 3rd team....finding a 3rd team might not be difficult. Russell averaged 18 points and 6 assists last season (a 3.0 assist/turnover ration is really good as well). He also shot 41.5% from three

maybe Ant going out in another trade and Russell is his 1-season replacement?

Vanderbilt for sure but would that have to be a three team deal? Or hold them until December?? Not a cba afish.

If the deal does not have to be completed immediately they can wait to announce the deal while Portland looks for a third team to acquire players they have no use for in a rebuild I guess.

If they are traded by themselves to another team we can do it any time after the trade but to aggregate them with another player you have to wait 60 days.

Maybe swinging Josh Green over to the Pistons with extra sweetners for Ausar?

I would like Jerami's destination to not be a team named the Lakers or Mavericks. Have no desire in helping either of those teams get better.

I care about helping us first and foremost. And that likely means moving Grant. Where he goes from there is strictly highest bidder for me. Don't care who else he hurts or helps.
100%

Monitoring teams that are struggling early that may want grant.

Denver, but they don’t have assets.
Miami?
Philadelphia?
LAL if they start losing?

Milwaukee, for Middleton gets the salary matching there. They have young recent picks from this season in AJ Johnson and Tyler Smith, both 19. They have no 2nds, and only a '31 1st I doubt they move. But maybe if they were desperate

Many teams like Philly don't have salary to match, in December some offseason signings trade restrictions will end
But then we'll probably hear we should wait until January until all the restrictions end
Then we will hear we should wait until the February deadline in case offers go up

Then when nothing is done we'll hear that the draft will be a better time, then free agency, then summer league, then training camp, and then we'll come full circle to this point next year with all our overpaid useless vets still sitting here.

I just pray we don't overpay Ant or Ayton with some stupid huge extensions. If we cant find a trade for any of our vets just let them walk after next season.

December 15th once Max Christie can be traded heres a Lakers trade that lets them keep all of DeAngelo, Hachimura, and Kneckt. We get their two picks.

Hacimura as a 6th man along with Knecht+Hayes off the bench is a pretty deep team. I'd think we'd want them to be near a HCA record to be willing to pull the trigger.

Whoever has the best assets. MIL and DEN have none, unfortunately. LAL has but I doubt Lebron wants JG. I would prefer Joe to take back young *semi-proven* talent and one decent FRP.
