As I also said in my previous post - the full stats are available at the link. This includes MPG and EFF/48.

Personally, when talking about which rookies are having an impact, which will be in the running for ROY and 1st and 2nd team All-Rookie, I find EFF/48 completely useless. I don't give a shit about some nobody who pads his stats in 3 or 4 minutes of garbage time during an occasional blowout. Sure, they have an impressive EFF/48, but they aren't having any significant impact.

The guys who are currently 1st and 2nd in rookie EFF/48 have played a total of 11 minutes during the preseason. I won't even bother to mention their names, because they are totally insignificant and irrelevant. Heck, on our own team, Meyers Leonard has a higher EFF/48 than Damian Lillard. You tell me, which one is the better player? Which one is having the bigger impact?

Feel free to knock yourself out. I think it's a waste of time, but it's your choice. When discussing rookies, I'm much more interested in total production - which players are actually playing and contributing, than I am garbage time ninjas that sneak into an occasional blowout.

Tweener who is less than 6'9" in shoes. Good wingspan, but too short to be a franchise player as a front-court player, and too slow to be an elite wing player.

The guys I liked were Lillard, PJ3, or Terrence Jones with the 6th, then go with either Zeller or Leonard at 11.

Andre Drummond has completely proven me wrong so far. I thought he'd be in over his head, but he's going to be a legitimate NBA center.

I was very happy about Lillard, but honestly wanted Terrance Jones or even Jeremy Lamb with #11. Leonard has been a pleasant surprise. I have been impressed with his athleticism...... his ability to run the floor. He has no low post game, but as long as he stays healthy, I'll be happy.

Kidd-Gilchrist really hasn't been too impressive on the offensive side, but he's the type that doesn't really need to score to be effective. There's so few scoring options on that Bobcats team so I hope they aren't trying to rely on him to be a big part of their scoring. I see him as 15ppg max guy throughout his career, but multiple AS games.

15ppg max but multiple AS games? I can't think of a single SG I the history of basketball who never averaged more than 15ppg but made multiple All Star teams. I'm confused by your post.

How about Donatas Montiejunas? I caught a few of his games in the Summer League, and he really impressed me at the time.

For the preseason, he's posted 9.4 ppg and 4.6 rpg, which is modest, but he's done so in only 19 mpg.

The most time he got all season was 25 minutes, where he posted 16 pts, 8 rbs on 6-11 shooting.

If I were the young, talentless Houston Rockets, I think I'd be playing someone like Donatas Montiejunas a whole lot this season. At 22, he's got all the potential in the world. The guy's a true seven footer who is quick on his feet and can drain threes. The question is just how much time Houston is willing to invest this season in developing him as an NBA player.

Hell, they're pretty much already out of the playoff mix before the season has even started, so why not play the kid? Do they really see Omer Asik as a better player? Patrick Patterson?
