Should Blount be disciplined with the following?

  • Total voters

  • Poll closed .
National TV . . . taking a swing and connecting flush on the jaw of an opposing player with a fist . . . after a game. Unfortunately I think a message has to be sent in college football that this type of conduct will absolutely not be tolerated.

6 game suspension.

Go Ducks?

A sucker punch is running up to somebody who is ignoring you and punching them. Blount punched Hout, but he certainly didn't "sucker punch" him. You can even read Hout's lips calling Blount a "bitch" right before the blow lands. Actually, Hout should be thankful that Peterson approached him and made him turn his head, because if Hout hadn't turned his head, that punch could have done serious damage.

That said, I can't see a reason for the Ducks to ever visit Boise State again. If they can't win with class, and if their video people are going to replay the punch only REPEATEDLY after the game on their video screen, let somebody else go play there.

Dude did NOT see it coming. He had no idea the punch was on it's way. Forget the angle, he had no chance to set his jaw. It was a pure blindside. He had no idea what hit him.

As for the BSU fans, I don't think they did anything that was really over the top. The video operator blew it, but that's an isolated issue. To say they lacked class in light of Blount's performance is nuts.

So the guy flinching as he was gonna get hit was because.....

Effing work firewall -- I can't access the video, but I sure don't remember him flinching -- if he did, it couldn't have been much of a flinch. Maybe old age is taking my memory, but he didn't seem ready to take the punch from what I recall.

you can see his eyes squint and he flinches from the neck up, he can see it coming, but not with enough time to do anything about it.

Brah, don't get too down on the game man. You've still got the Lakers, Blazers after LA splits up, to look forward to. :chestbump:

lol oh yeah forgot. I'm not to down on the game, SPD is really my nemesis though :P

Wow. That poll has 13,729 votes. I didn't realize OLive/Canzano generated so much traffic.

yeah thats even higher than I would have thought.. when I looked it had like 8,000... wow.

I thought it looked more like he was turning his head towards the coach who was in the process of grabbing him than he was flinching.

at 31 seconds to me it looks like he is getiing ready for a punch.

Kick him off the team. This kind of shit is not to be tolerated.

Huh, still looks to me like he didn't see it coming. That said, Hout's a badass if he saw it coming because he didn't try to get out of the way at all.

Yeah, a real badass. Slap a guy on the shoulder, talk some crap, get pulled away by your coach, and then fall to the ground after one punch as your eyes roll back into your head.

Blount acted like a criminal, but Hout deserves absolutely no respect for being a classless piece of crap.

It appeared that no one on the BSU team went to his defense there. You'd think that would've started a big time scrum.

One of the two guys in the background who saw it throws a punch at Blount. I'm actually disappointed in Boise State. I really do like to root for them, but after Hout's classless and unneccesary actions, and the lack of Peterson disciplining him, I have to say I can't stand that program anymore.

I do have to laugh when looking at Hout's "gee, I really showed him" shit-eating grin right before impact. Does Hout even play? It looks like he's lacking shoulder pads.

Sheesh, after looking at that picture how in the world can anyone think he's ready for that punch. It's crazy.
