Duh, got it. It wasn't that the guy was shooting her it was that the dumbass friend said he could if he wanted to.

I got that "we" means man because that's what you said. "I don't know why men are like that, but we are." I'm a man and I'm not like that, so don't lump me in. Period.

My unrealistic ideas? You think it's unrealistic for men not to hit women? I addressed that subject when I said that men shouldn't have to put up with abuse any more than women should, and men should be able to defend themselves. I don't think that sentiment is shared by many of the people who got the domestic violence laws out of whack, as you put it.

I intervened in a domestic dispute one day where the young girl was being followed down a side road as she walked, by her boyfriend in a car. They were screaming at each other and he was going insane. I asked her if she needed help and she flipped out on me.

That certainly isn't a normal thing any more than a man and woman who rarely even argue. Just like you hear about women who get abused over and over and never leave due to fear. No one description fits the entire population but I suspect my description of men is more common than yours.

You've got it entirely backwards. That's why I believe your belief does more harm than good. It's most men being men. The truly few in this day and age are the overtly physical over the top wife beaters. That's not what I'm talking about.

The being worried that you are being lumped in with men in general is laughable. You are, end of story.
 
Honestly, while @bodyman5000 and 1 says that's how "men" are, I'd argue that's how most people are. Parents would never let anyone else speak to their kids the way they speak to them. Most kids behave significantly better for other adults than they do for their own parents. Siblings (both child and adult) treat each other differently than they do their peers. We are trained to be polite and reasonable with strangers, but the more familiar we are with someone, the more likely we are to be willing to be an @$$ to that person.

It's crazy when you think about it--shouldn't we actually endeavor to be kind and considerate to the people who mean the most to us, rather than to people we'll never know?

As for OP you should have just stood directly behind him, maybe tickle his b hole with you index finger and make a silly noise like three stooges. That's something i would do, but I'm known to cross lines and get myself hit for lulz.

The laws in the state of Washington make it clear that people in a relationship are exactly the same. The cops get called to your house and they don't know what happened they take the person with the least visible injuries to jail.

In a drunken stupor I held my wife against her will and let her have an arm free to try and get away. She scratched my face trying to get free. I didn't hit her or hurt her visibly.

When I was done , I was going to leave in my car and she called the cops to stop me from killing someone drunk.

I told the cops I didn't do anything to her so they took her to jail.


These poor dummies have to take someone by law. The morons in Washington think a woman can beat up a 6'2" 300lb man. I'm not an HCP type nerd, I look like a lineman.

If you say men are dogs and cheat on their wives, I'd agree. I've never cheated on my wife. Doesn't mean it isn't generally true. I'm not furthering that behavior by accepting it as real.

It just is real, pretending it isn't seems to me to be more harmful than whining about how I personally don't cheat.

In fact, I'd never hit my wife. But, I did tell her if she ever thought about cheating on me don't let me catch her. I KNOW that monster inside me would come out. It doesn't mean I think it is ok but it is what would happen.

If I caught a guy raping her the movie Seven would look like a Disney movie compared to what I'd do to him.

I have never cheated. None of the guys I know have cheated. None of us have ever hit a woman. Saying that men are mean by nature is garbage. I have seen just as many catfights as I have seen men fighting. Women can be JUST as mean, if not more so. My best friend's wife cheated on him with a guy we know. She tried to ruin his life in the divorce. He just wanted to see his son. I actually know more women who have cheated than men, so does that make women dogs?

And you're looking at domestic violence the wrong way. Your wife might not be able to beat you up, but you shouldn't have to take physical abuse from anyone. If she hits you, that's domestic violence. You shouldn't have to take it. I also imagine a good shot to the nuts would probably put all 6'2 300lbs of you on the ground.

Im surprised you are against men hitting women. They arent more fragile or anything are they? Im old fashioned tho, i think you can treat a lady with respect and not have to be a push over about it. Im more old school country, i say please, thank you, and ma'am. Ill hold a door for anyone, until you act like i owe it to you, then ill go out of my way to fuck with you.

Women also tend to abuse mentally rather than physically. For instance when my ex fiance aborted my child and told me she wasnt comfortable with me being her kids dad because im fat and might die early. Then sleeps with some old meth head that according to his gf who called me and told me has a weird fetish for younger girls. She was 19 i was 20 he was 37. Seemed creepy to me. id say thats pycologically abusive.

And ive still never hit a woman, or even had the desire to. Women are terrible abusive creatures, yet god made them so beautiful, what a dick.

I'm mean as hell, I think I showed some of the darkness in this thread but I'd never hurt a defenseless animal. I eat beef and chicken and whatnot but I hate killing anything for sport, even fish.

You remind me of why I hate a lot of religious people I knew growing up. Their wives or family made them go to church and they'd get up in front of everyone and spew nonsenese they didn't believe just to get along. If you want to pretend men and women are all the same, fine. I just don't believe it for a second.

If we can't be honest about our nature then we go nowhere.

If you don't think women are mean, you obviously have never seen the wrath of a woman scorned. They don't just kick your ass and be done with it. They're out to ruin your entire fucking life.

Either way, I have no idea what you're talking about. Nobody said men and women are all the same. I said stop lumping all men into the same category, or conversely, all women in the same category. You're justifying your own weird issues and saying everyone is like that. We're not.
