Certainly damning news for the current administration (and no, I'm not talking about Kotek's administration, dysfunctional and herky jerky as it is......)
Sauce?
Which administration are you talking about?Certainly damning news for the current administration (and no, I'm not talking about Kotek's administration, dysfunctional and herky jerky as it is......)
The Trump cluster fuck,.....er, "administration". He's the guy in charge of the country. He deserves at least as much "credit" as Kotek for the state of the economy, regardless of the individual states. Kinda like how the Republicans blamed Obama and Biden for everything. Funny how that works......Which administration are you talking about?
I disagree in this case. When Oregon is the ONLY state in the country that has year over year of job losses it points to a state issue, not a federal issue. The Trump cluster fuck,.....er, "administration". Friend of mine did some work on something related to this. Will see if he has any info...Is anyone following the Bricks and Minifigs Oregon scandal?
Your example is a Nike issue. However, I don’t believe Nike’s cuts are the primary driver for Oregon’s year over year job losses. I believe it is primarily driven by our state government. Not necessarily, no.
You have to look at the jobs that were lost and why.
Example: suppose Nike decides they have too many middle managers and cuts a bunch of them. Is that a state issue, a federal issue, or a Nike issue?
barfo
Some of the job losses on that link are for Federal job losses. How is that an Oregon issue?Your example is a Nike issue. However, I don’t believe Nike’s cuts are the primary driver for Oregon’s year over year job losses. I believe it is primarily driven by our state government.
I doubt that Oregon experienced federal job losses at higher rate than other states. If my assumption is correct it makes it irrelevant to the point I’m making. Some of the job losses on that link are for Federal job losses. How is that an Oregon issue?
I see. Yes, lets use statistics and then explain away the parts we don't like.I doubt that Oregon experienced federal job losses at higher rate than other states. If my assumption is correct it makes it irrelevant to the point I’m making.
There are between 23,000 and 30,000 federal employees in Oregon. There are over 40,000 state employees in Oregon. I would think there more job losses for state employees than federal employees. And yes, of course statistics should be used to help explain issues like this one. We are seeing out-migration from Oregon at a higher level than in-migration to Oregon. Why do you think that is?I see. Yes, lets use statistics and then explain away the parts we don't like.
You would think, that means your feelings. Go find the statistics that aren't cherry picked to back up your feelings. There are between 23,000 and 30,000 federal employees in Oregon. That is just job cuts. It doesn’t account for jobs gained. Talk about cherry picking statistics!![]()
Wow! Great job Oregon! #1 on the west coast!
You are right. Only things that show what you want it to say to fit your narrative are right! That is just job cuts. It doesn’t account for jobs gained. Talk about cherry picking statistics!![]()
What I think you don't understand is I posted that as a joke. You can find anything on the internet to support your narrative. Statistics can be manipulated. It doesn’t appear that you understand what I’m arguing so I’ll just drop it at this point.
Why does Obama hate Oregon?
