Yeah. He called me when he first got to the room. There was blood in his room. I told him to ask for a new room. He just needed to crash for 5-6 hours before his flight so he did not ask for a new room.

Given this, I was not surprised his CC was stolen.

Yeah, I had to get a room because I had a 6am flight and there was ice forming overnight on roads and didn't want my parents to drive to airport.
 
I should really sell my house before people realize Portland is a shit hole now and stop moving here. Maybe I should move someplace nice like Albany :lol:

yeah. Many people here who are quick to condescend others who disagree with their opinions (they try to pass off as facts) will just ignore things that go against their stance.
Its pretty unreal how much some will point the finger at others and try to shame people into agreeing with them and be completely unaware they do the same thing they are condescending of, when others do it.
But whatever. I completely see why you rarely discuss aNd just post links. When it comes to politics, there is little discussion here. Its some peoples’ way or a condescending highway they put you on. Passive aggressive, better than thou behavior becomes the prominent theme for some when they encounter aNy type of pushback on their political beliefs.

Who do you associate with that requires you to call 911. I have never called 911 even once in my life and my wife has called once when I accidentally took a double dose of insulin. Then the leech 911 operator with the assistance of the leech city fire department made it to my house in three minutes and saved my life for I had gone unconscious and the fire department gave me an IV and sent me to the Emergency Room with fire engine alarm being sounded at the VA hospital filled with more government leeches. Thank God for all the leeches in the world. The true leeches run the corporate boards of America's large corporations and the top brass at insurance companies. Oh, and the Trump family.

The police came a-knocking, wondering what the emergency was, why I'd called 911 and hung up.

Weed isn’t the problem. Meth is. I read a really interesting article today about the meth epidemic. The newer meth that doesn’t require Sudafed is a million times worse and causes mental illness. It is at the heart of what’s happening here. And experts say that trying to treat it with therapy or rehab takes years because they can’t even begin to start healing until they’re clean for 9 months. This newer meth makes them unable to connect with someone on a human level, which is the requirement to truly start the healing process. So what do you do? This article said that the ingredients are basically poison. They’re so basic that you can’t lock up the supply line like Sudafed. We are basically fucked.

honestly you’d have to decriminalize the Sudafed version which takes a much longer time to kill someone and doesn’t have nearly the toxic side effects on your mental health. Decriminalize it and make it cheap so that you kill off this other variant.

Was that the article in, I think, the Atlantic? I'm pretty sure I know the one you're talking about. Really interesting and depressing article. I'm pretty sure I posted it here in the OT section.

You can look at the homeless camps and see the pure insanity that meth is causing.

The only thing I can think of is a meth vaccine, which has been being worked on for the last 20 years and is still a ways from being an answer or treatment. But I think we've just had some sort of an event or incident that has suddenly advanced the science behind vaccinations so maybe that will help.

I think that’s the one. Someone linked it and it was a sad read, but very eye opening. The fact that meth causes schizophrenia and bi polar disorder is not something I had heard before.
