You may want to check the order of things. The first one who started bitching and cussing happened last summer and hasn't stopped yet. so yeah i mock some people who cant fess up to being wrong.

Its bad. All of the hoards of homeless people tells me our system has failed us. The ugly truth about capitalism is there has to be people who fall out of the bottom for people to be on top. And there is no safety net.

Yes, it needs to be fixed. We need functioning action, a true fix, not simply making homelessness be illegal, or arresting homelessness people, or redirecting them to the outskirts of the city, or putting them on busses out of town to be other cities problems. We need actualization, not sweeping a problem under the rug and trying to hide it in plain sight. We need to treat them like fucking human beings and not a burden. Its not about, oh my town looks trashed I don't want to have to see this. Its about understanding look at these people out on the street dirty and starving. These people we have failed and doing something about it.

When I say its not as bad as its being made out to be, I am speaking of the violence aspect. Most homeless people aren't violent. Most of the violence in our city comes from gangs not from homeless people and that is a different issue all together.

I love how you can't fathom how people laugh at Rush dying, because even if he was a hateful awful person, we shouldn't hate him, hate begets hate and what not. And constantly talk about how 2 wrongs don't make a right, but then you post in the style you do, because if you were wronged, you're going to sling it right back. And I don't think you see the hypocrisy in any of that. It's pretty funny.

The conflict is. Some people maintain a stance there isnt a problem. It drives others to point out there is a problem.
But then those who say their isnt a problem claim those who point out the problem are just bitching.
Its ridiculous.

I think what they are arguing is, is that its not a war zone here or as violent a place as it is being made out as terrible as it might look in some areas. Yeah, there are homeless people congregating everywhere, and trash piling up, but this is not Detroit or Chicago, not even close. I dont think anyone is arguing that homelessness isn't a problem here in Portland.

but see i never said it was a war zone. So why am i not able to defend myself when people say im bitching about how portland is when i post a link? Do you not see the complete double standard here.

When people post pictures trying to portray there isnt an issue in thier neighborhood, they are implying everything is fine in their world.

Then when someone counters thst bs half a dozen people get on the perosn calling the bs out. But then turn and say no lnes saying theee isnt a problem...
I get this echo chamber keeps some feeling safe and bold on here but its not reality..

“i can have my buddies back me up even when im being a hypocrite so i believe im right...”

and we will just remain silent when we are wrong and dismiss it and move on to the next point of contention i think i can get one up on with the other guy...
