Who said crime doesn’t happen everywhere? I think it’s about downtown Portland and it looks like absolute SHIT. There’s no way anyone can drive or walk around and not see that. And it’s outside downtown. It’s gross. The graffiti and homelessness is out of control. What are you arguing? Seattle, LA, SF, San Diego having the same issues. But since we live here, we talk about Portland. Who is gonna come in here and write ‘oh my god you should see the East Village of San Diego’?

Those places have issues but nothing close to looking like downtown PDX. Downtown has parts - parts- that look 3rd world. It’s embarrassing just driving on the freeway and seeing what’s happening. Now, yes, there are tents/camps all over now- Lake Oswego off the Haines St exit, Capitol exit, Terwilleger, and so on. We need to build housing ASAP or take over abandoned buildings and create housing like NOW. We need mental health facilities NOW. I’m fucking livid at our leadership. They all should be fired and we start from scratch.
