Or that could mean 100 trees illegally removed, with 100 more low level shit heads running around vandalizing things. Do premeditatedstupid shit, pay the price. 24 hours in jail and some community service seems fair to me. Maybe some classes on the importance nature is for humans to survive.

Not trying to defend anyone, but this video is incomplete. It does not show him entering the max and starts in the middle of his commute, already sitting down. There is no volume on the security cameras to help define when the accusation took place.
Do you have any other link or footage showing his complete commute, or full video exonerating the accused, or are you making this judgement based on this incomplete video? I did not hear either providing a timeline or providing specifics as to what happened and when.

I will personally reserve judgement due to lack of complete evidence provided.

I do see these types of accusation happening alot around here, based on incomplete video, or portions of a video that does not provide full context. We should all be careful condemning those accused without complete video verification. This goes for the accused and the accuser.

If someone has more proof of the incorrect accusation, id be more than happy to watch and potentially retrack/amend my post. Until then though this seems to be jumping to conclusions.
 
Yes. For fucks sake. God forbid actually wanting full proof before making a judgment. I mean. WTF is this guy thinking to not just assume......

Portland Commissioner Rene Gonzalez says he faced ‘deliberate, unwanted physical contact’ aboard a MAX train. Here’s what video shows

Portland Commissioner and mayoral hopeful Rene Gonzalez recently said that he would temporarily stop using public transit after he alleged that a woman “accosted” him aboard a MAX train, including subjecting him to “deliberate, unwanted physical contact.”

Video obtained by The Oregonian/OregonLive shows that the woman may have at most brushed Gonzalez’s arm as she moved to the front of the nearly empty train car, where, according to the commissioner, she began criticizing him over the city’s homelessness policies. Footage of the Jan. 26 encounter, captured on a pair TriMet cameras, also does not appear to substantiate his assertion that the woman intentionally “bumped” into him twice, a claim Gonzalez made to police on the day of the incident and then to news outlets a week later on Feb. 2.

His complaints to news outlets came three weeks after a car belonging to relatives was torched in front of his home in the middle of the night, a claim law enforcement records confirm.

Some uncertainty remains about what precisely transpired on the MAX, however, as portions of the 90-second interaction occur out of clear view of both cameras. Neither video includes audio. A person seated across the aisle from Gonzalez appears to glance in the direction of the commissioner and the woman once or twice during the episode but otherwise looks out the window, according to the video.

The Portland Police Bureau closed an investigation into the incident last week, which authorities say included reviewing Gonzalez’s account to police of his experience while commuting to City Hall as well as the TriMet footage.

“After reviewing the available evidence, (police) determined that there is no probable cause to make an arrest for a crime,” bureau spokesperson Sgt. Kevin Allen told The Oregonian/OregonLive on Friday.

Gonzalez, in a statement released by his campaign Sunday, did not address what the TriMet footage shows nor how he previously characterized the encounter in a video he published to the social media platform X on Feb. 2.

Instead, the first-term city commissioner and mayoral candidate said that he and other Portland elected officials have faced persistent, sometimes escalating harassment in recent years.

“This is part of a larger pattern in our city — one that has grown markedly,” said Gonzalez, noting instances in which Mayor Ted Wheeler and Commissioner Dan Ryan were also targeted.

“Political intimidation of more moderate elected officials has become increasingly normalized. It shouldn’t be normal, and we shouldn’t stay silent as it continues,” Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez’s campaign also provided a timeline of more than a dozen incidents it says Gonzalez, his staff or his family and supporters have faced since July 2022. Among those were the two times his campaign offices were vandalized while he was a City Council candidate as well as when a person or group last month set fire to the relatives’ car outside Gonzalez’s Eastmoreland home.

The timeline also claims that a woman confronted Gonzalez in Pioneer Courthouse Square over suspected arson at a future mass homelessness shelter site on the same day he released his statement about the alleged TriMet episode.

“Personally, these efforts at intimidation have failed,” Gonzalez said. “But they have required a number of changes in my family’s and staff’s life — increased security efforts and a complete reassessment of how I interact with the public to protect those I care about and support me, as well as to avoid unnecessary conflict.” Prior to the alleged encounter on the MAX, Gonzalez regularly used his bicycle and public transit to travel from his Southeast Portland neighborhood to City Hall. At times, he’s highlighted the commuting option as concerns about safety and open drug use aboard buses, trains and at transit stops continue to hamper TriMet ridership.

“Real men take @trimet, especially in days like these ... even if they bike to the station,” Gonzalez wrote on X in September, one day after the transit agency released the results of a study that found trace amounts of fentanyl and meth on nearly all of its trains.

The social media post included a photo of Gonzalez grinning aboard the MAX, with his bicycle behind him.

Thank you for addressing this. Sure would be nice if others in control here did the same to avoid confusion and assumed potential bias, instead of yelling and cussing…

Again, like I said in the other thread, I had no problem with your reply to what I originally posted, and like I showed you in the Super Bowl I actually went out of my way to find you some of the answers to the questions you were asking. I apologize that he didn't reply quickly enough and that some how made you think that a joke I made in a different thread was to hide the fact that my dad is an old man and couldn't give me the info fast enough to give to you. If you want I can ask him to also apologize to you.

Not really. It was your dismissal of someone else who regularly talks about me in here constantly trying to create drama.
It was your no response to that, that began the formulation of my opinion. Someone else who is talking about me In every thread, who once again posting to try to create drama that you left unaddressed. Considering how things have gone down in the past, yes i began to form an opinion of bias going on.
I’’m moving on now. You said nothing was intentional and I'm taking your word for it.

For the past, I dunno, 3, 4 years? you've been told to put that user on ignore. You got banned from an internet forum for your inability to do just that, continuing to engage with said individual, who you would have NO IDEA if they were saying anything about you if you just used the ignore function.

And here you are, moniker number 3, 4? I dunno, still blabbering on and creating drama, and STILL referencing them. You talk SOOOOOO much about how people should behave. How they should post, how they should interact. You have it ALL figured out. Yet none of the rest of us had to be banned because we couldn't control our emotions. Like a middle school adolescent versus someone around 50.

We all know you can't quit him. None of us really know why. But regardless of what he says about you, none of the rest of us generally give a damn, which means if you had him on ignore, it would all go away. But you can't and you won't and you'll continue to act holier than thou, you'll continue to play the victim. And somehow continue to post on a forum you were banned from for acting in such a manner.
It's all about you!! All of it! Every post, a secretly veiled insult. Every joke, taking the piss at you. The insecurity is astounding, which probably keeps you from using the ignore function because you need to know if he's saying something else, instead of not giving him a second thought.

Thanks sly. Appreciate your thoughts. Ignore or not, the intent to create drama is still there and intended to create an impression that is biased. We have both been advised to not talk about each other, and ignore each other. Where is your post telling him he should just ignore me?

Listen, we came to an agreement in person when instead of unbanning your previous moniker we both decided to give you a fresh start here under a new moniker. We had what I felt was an honest and productive talk. I told you that others have come back under new monikers and have not repeated the same behavior that has previously gotten them banned. Ultimately, their desire to talk about the Blazers was more important than wanting to continually fight with others and insult people. You agreed that was the same with you.

During that talk I told you that while I can't ban you from certain sections of the forum, I strongly suggested you stay out of the OT section. While not all the time, all of your problems do seem to emanate from the OT section. Again, not all of the time, you do get into moods/spells/I don't know what to call it, where you argue and argue and argue with people. Why you aren't more self-aware about that is confusing because when we've talked in person before you admit it.

When you came back under a new moniker we agreed that you should just talk Blazers, because that's why you're here, that's why you wanted to be unbanned. It's not for the "riveting" political talk. There are much better places for that on the internet. But instead of you doing that you immediately started PM'ing people telling them that it's you under a new moniker. I know this because a few of them immediately PM'd me telling on you. Then you just started telling people in the forum that it was you under a new moniker. And once you did that you were back to posting in the OT section. You had the opportunity for a fresh start and to put all the baggage behind and you decided not to.

Now that is perfectly fine, I am not your keeper or your babysitter. You post how you want until it becomes a problem. It has now become a problem. It's not my fault that HCP figured out who you are. That's on you. Now up until this most recent time, every time he asked me publicly why you are here posting again I told him the truth. You were back because you are a huge Blazer fan who participates in forum events, who has hosted unofficial forum get-togethers, who has supported forum events and projects, and who loves the Blazers. Every time I posted that it was as much for him as it was for you. To remind you why you are back.

For the last 2-3 weeks you have been in a very very argumentive mood. Seriously, you can't see this? This isn't about you and me. I have only said one thing to you and that was when you were going after Barfo. Like I've told you in the forum, via PM, and in person, you want to get my attention start going after people who volunteer their time here to run this place.

You started today off complaining in multiple threads about how these threads weren't about the Blazers and shouldn't be here. In other words you were looking to argue. Then when that didn't work you somehow tried to make the argument that because of a reply you made to me in this thread that I didn't reply to means that when I made a joke about AI in the Super Bowl thread means that I'm going after you, toying with you, and being biased against you. You, not me started all of that. And yes, you pissed me the fuck off.

Now you're trying to make an issue of me saying words like fuck and posting in all capital letters. I'm yelling and cussing at you! First, cussing has always been allowed. As long as the swear words being used aren't degrading to certain people it's fine. And posting in all capital letters is hardly yelling but even if it were, who cares?

You have accused me of a bunch of crap today that I told you and showed you was not true. I even contacted my dad who is struggling to get all the shit with Social Security, her pension, her life insurance policies, and our family trust after the recent and unexpected death of his wife, my mother, just a few weeks ago to look something up for you. Because I took your post at face value when you said you wanted more information.

And after telling you and showing you all of that you don't say thank you, or sorry, or I'm having a bad day, anything to make you stirring up a bunch of drama better instead you just give this dismissive I guess I'm just going to have to take your word for it.

Oops... lol!

Flipper is Mrs PokerDog. She knows me well and she immediately can tell when something is going on in the forum that is upsetting, irritating, or pretty much pissing me off. She is my confidante and my voice of reason. So when shit starts to go sideways I'll tell her to read shit and she'll give me the honest opinion if I'm being an asshole. Which, I fully admit I can be at times.

What's really funny is there are times when she wants to yell at some of you when I'm spending too much time trying to fix shit like today's drama but I tell her not to post and stay out of it. Not because she doesn't have valid opinions to post, just that if some of you talked to her like you do to others and myself I would probably hunt you down and hurt you.
