But according to the poll only one of those can happen. And since we KNOW the team will be sold, apparently the team can't stay in Portland. But neither can it move to Seattle! OR to another city other than Seattle. Therefore, if the correct answer is that the team is sold (which it is), then the team MUST move to a non-city.

The Evergreen State Trail Blazers? :dunno:

If someone buys the team here is my guess First Avenue Entertainment LLLP owns Seattle Mariners, an American professional baseball team and ROOT Sports, a regional sports network. The company is based in Olympia, Washington.

Fighting for 6-8 playoff seeds.

Ousted by a Western Conference power in the first round.

Rinse and repeat. Every year.

1 and 3, then in a four or five years when the lease expires, maybe 3 or 4.

If team moves to Seattle it will stay in the same ownership if it moves to another city assumption is new ownership. Does this help your your thinking and steady your thoughts

Yes, it does. I think you’ve been drinking steadily.

I just have a feeling that somehow Nike/Phil & family will be involved with the future owners, to what degree?
Some of the high profile athletes that have been mentioned as possible owners have close relationships with Phil.

The team will have new owners - PA's heirs have made that abundantly clear. If the sale includes the Moda Center, the team will stay, at least for the time being. If the brilliant minds at Vulcan decide the team and arena should be sold separately, we're boned.

If Nike owns even a small percentage of the team, they will face a litany of "tampering" complaints over every non-Blazer player they have an endorsement deal with. Phil could get involved personally (as he is basically retired), but between his age and his preference for college sports it seems unlikely.

It's a shame, because on paper they represent the best (only?) hope for local ownership.

Screw major league baseball, we need those investors to buy the Blazers.

I don't see any way that the arena could be sold separately. It's basically worthless without the Blazers playing in it. Plus you'd have to have the NBA approve yanking the team out of a city that actually supports their team. It's not happening.

If that happened this year, how would that be a repeat? We've been better than that 4 out of the past 5 years...

The Pacific Northwest TrailBlazers

Portland =14 games
Seattle = 14 games
Vancouver BC = 13 games

Not sure about the Blazers but the fans?????

PAIN!

You got it. This team is just spinning its wheels. Other teams get bad and then rebuild, but we just hover around mediocrity year after year.
