I have the Phoenix homer broadcast team who merely mentioned Nico has a right shoulder strain and won't return. Is there anything more from the Blazers' side?

The Phoenix announcers are idiots. They talked about Batum's shoulder injury tonight without ever once mentioning that he missed a large part of the season due to shoulder surgery. Shows how much they know.

Exactly. Clearly he reinjured it, but they didn't mention how badly. I figured the Portland broadcast team would have more detail.

I was really surprised by Gary Bender. Sure, he's local now, but he had a long national career. They knew they were announcing a national game and they were in full blown homer mode. If I were them, I'd be a little embarrassed. Their color guy was simply shameful and Bender got caught up in the party. I think they were probably frustrated by Game 1.

Tonight after the game he wasn't holding it different or walking leaned over like Blake was when he hurt his bad last season. Don't know if that means anything, but usually when a guy hurts the shoulder bad, he holds himself a little different.
