So I just got paid and I have a little money left over after bills to maybe buy a console. Im thinking about buying a ps2(because mine is broke and thats cheap) I had a Xbox360 but it got stolen and I really dont think I want another one. WII is too much hastle to play, and ps3 has no games im interested in.

Your XBOX 360 got stolen? How did that happen..

I think either Wii or 360. PS3 doesn't have many games out, though they made some new ones recently. Still lI wouldn't recommend it. Wii doesn't have many goes out now, unless you love Twilight Princess then go for it. Wii will have alot more games coming out later this summer, but don't get it if you don't like games like Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash bros. Brawl, or Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn. I'd get a 360 (Elite, since the the $300 has no harddrive and the $400 hasn't much hard drive), if you have xbox live then go for it.

It was his Xbox360 anyway so doesn't hurt me much but after it being stolen I dont want another one. And I dont feel like paying 400$. Honestly, im not impressed with this new generation of consoles. I thought the GC,PS2,and Xbox were MUCH better when they first came out compared to their predecessors. I might buy a Wii, but do they have a normal controller?

I would recommend an Xbox360 scince Xbox Live is the shizznit! I don't see what's cool about the PS3, but the Wii sounds like fun. I'm a sports game freak so I can't wait to buy a 360 so I can play Madden and NBA 2K8 online.

Get the PS3... It has the best graphics out of all the current game systems, plus online play is free.

If you're willing to spend $600, the PS3 is the obvious choice..but if you just want some fun you should get the 360 since it's cheaper and will be more fun to play since a lot more people have it. Since you dont want it tho, just get a PS2.

Get PS3 it may not have many games out right now because its only been out for about 6 months just give it time then there will be more better ones coming out and like Tony said Online play is Free.

Online play being free for the PS3 isn't really a huge selling point, in my opinion, considering Xbox only charges $50 a year (less than the price of a video game) and offers way more online features than the PS3 does.Xbox 360 rapes PS3.Primetime, since you don't want another 360, just go for a Wii.

I'm just going to wait until next fall to decide(usually the best games come out around each year in fall) Until then ill just save up for whatever im going to buy(ps3 should drop to 500 soon)

I'm probably gonna buy a ps3. I wanna wait til around Madden 08 and GTA4 come out though.

360 is better and they will have GTA also and after the price cut that's coming within a year it will be worth it.I'm getting a PS3 myself...

Does Wii have a controller where I dont gotta move. I Like playin Madden and NBA but I am lazy when im playing a game and dont feel like moving. If they did I might buy one.

Go for the PS3 if you have the money. The games will eventually come, PS always has better games. PS3 is such a great all-around package, it's expensive but worth it, hell, and I have a 360.

I be damned if I have to pay $50 bucks a year just to play online on top of the $100 bucks we pay to have internet...PS3 is the way to go buddy; it hasn't been out long but look towards the future.

Not talking specifically about you noballer07, but I find it kind of funny that people bi*ch and complain (not only in this thread but every other thread we've had on this subject) about paying an extra $50 a year to play online with the 360... "Oh man! I can't save $4 a month every year to pay for Xbox Live, but I can buy a $600 PS3 or $500 Xbox!"

Plus, I wouldn't pay for something that I could get free otherwise, IDK about others but that's how I was brought up.

"Free" is just a term that means hidden costs.

If you have the money I'd get a PS3 but wait a little longer until the price drops. I got one about 6 months ago but I wish I woulda waited. Between buying a warranty and just one game it all cost me around $800. Now I'm sick of the game I bought and don't have any money to buy another one or to get another controller.

They would be stupid not to take into into consideration during product costing... so it might appear to be "free," but it really isn't. Microsoft doesn't charge that $50 in the price of the 360... so Xbox would be the better deal in terms of that aspect, because they give you the option of paying that $50 and getting online play, whereas you're pretty much "forced" to pay for it with the PS3 whether you use it or not.

I would get a PS3, but Halo 3 is only for 360 (right?), and that is the only reason I'm even getting a 360, for Halo 3.

It wouldn't be on their terms of use page. Are you really stupid enough to believe that PS3 just gives online play out of the kindness of their hearts? (hint: they're a business, meaning the answer is no) They have to give free online play to sell their system, but it is a part of the system. There is no reason to consider it free. That's about as asinine as saying that bluray is free for the PS3. (another hint: it's not, you pay for it in the cost of the system)

When you put it that way, Microsoft might have put an extra few hunned dollars to go towards internet even when people would pay to subscribe anyway. I paid for the system, but I'm not going to pay more just to play it; that's the issue. The PS3 costs so f*cking much because of the Bluray and all that good ish.

^Not to mention the price of the blu ray can be had lower than a 1000 dollars.

QUOTE (BALLAHOLLIC? @ Jun 14 2007, 12:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

A Blue Ray player costs around $1,000. The prices of blu-ray/hd-dvd players are dropping steadily. To the average person, a blu-ray player isn't even worth it because they don't have 1080p HD tvs. Besides, now you can buy up-converting DVD players which play 1080p so you don't have to buy new DVDs, so blu-ray and hd-dvd players are pretty useless. Also, I bet more than half of the people that own a PS3 haven't even used the blu-ray player, or used it fully.
