If you guys didn't hear by now. The last show was friday.

Considering "Wheels" was rarely there, it's not a surprise. Plus, Kenny Vance can't carry a conversation, let alone an entire show, by himself.

Wheels has essentially been promoted to be a roamer amongst many of the local shows. I think this was his call....considering his "full-time" duties as the team's p-b-p guy.

Hopefully this will lead to more air time for Dwight Jaynes. He's so interesting and insightful.

So, losing his own show and filling in from time-to-time on other shows is a "promotion"?

Sure, he'll be the guest star on many. Nonetheless, call it a promotion, or not. His leaving is by his own choice.

I've never done radio, but I'm guessing it is a grind and doesn't pay a lot at that level.

His real job is broadcasting and he probably just wants to concentrate on that.

The official word was that it was wearing him out...especially during the b-ball season... It bums me out since I'm usually in the car around that time and I enjoyed him.

He felt he was spinning his wheels. so he burnt rubber and hit the road.

This is too bad, well at least for me. I really enjoyed his show, and thought it was the best of all of the 95.5 programming. I guess it's back to my XM at lunch time.

I hope they fill it with something good. Wheels @ Work was my favorite show on 95.5.

Jay just said that Kenny is leaving The Game in about 2 weeks. He got a job as an editor for a small paper in Clark County.

Jay also said that they will fill the "Wheels @ Work" time slot with another local host that they hope to hire in the next few days.

I hope they either get the "and Booms goes the dynamite" guy, or HCP. It's not like they said they're going after TALENT (why start now?).

I'd like to see them give the time slot to John Strong.

He'd be fine...provided he could keep Timbers talk to a relative minimum.

BTW, found a nice little Vietnamese restaurant with very good pho. It's located in the little strip mall behind the Kings Buffet off SE 123rd and Mill Plain.

Big deal comming soon, can't comment.

I hope this means Jay Allen has been demoted to a reporter at a JC, or something where he can be the best homer.

Bid D has worn on Gavin Dawson and he'll be returning to the Rose City. ;)

God I hope not. I got sooo tired of his "Man Cave" and other overused expressions.

You log onto an Internet forum to post about basketball and are worried the guy's a nerd? Pot calling the kettle black.

I'm on here a bit more than usual because I'm on disablities. But, I don't think in todays age its really that nerdy to go on message boards. Jay Allen on the other hand, is such a geek.

apparently you're a nerd that can't read too. he said john strong.:devilwink:

Too many nerds around here. Think I'll get out of the house and beat somebody up.

Replacement announced: John Lund has returned to Portland and is taking over the 12-3 time-slot on 95.5. New show starts up 10/4.

Great. I didn't like him before and I won't like him again. Are the rest of the guys still going to be on the show or just John Lund?
