Disrespect is earned. Misstating a chain of events the way you did above is how you earn disrespect.

I'm not sure if you're aware of the entire situation but the poster in question has been incredibly disrespectful to me for months. Simply because I disagree with them. They've also been disrespectful to several other posters because they disagree with them as well.

If you engage with me respectfully I will also engage respectfully. I will not target you or insult you or have conversations about you with other posters like a child. That kind of behavior earns my disrespect.

If you act childish there's a far greater chance that I will treat you like a child and talk to you like a child.
