Have you been to Hualien? That's my wife's hometown...we lived there many years
Very nice! Maybe we passed by each other. I was there last year also during that time. The night markets are really cool. Can't stand the stinky tofu smell though. As far as speaking Mandarin, I speak a little. How about you?

My favorite trips are to go anywhere the Blazers are. I use Priceline to book a "vacation package." You can find the cheapest combo of air and hotel fare.

All of that said, I'm anxious to go to Hawaii...

Speaking of traveling......taking Mrs. The HCP to Kauai for allstar break in February. Can't wait!

If you have never been to the big island of Hawaii you got to go! So much to do, It's amazing!! Not to mention the weather can drastically change from one end of the island to the next.

I'm pretty fluent in Mandarin...know a little Taiwanese...we speak Mandarin mostly at home. I'll be going there this fall or winter for a few weeks. Probably not Chinese New Year though, I'll also book a flight to Phuket and maybe Hong Kong on the way home. Will stop in Taoyuan, Tienmou and Hualien first.

My preferred airline is the cheapest one. I haven't traveled enough to have a preferred destination in mind. France is a place I'd love to return to and spend some more time. I spent about a month there back in '99. I'd really like to visit Eastern Europe traveling from the Baltics to the Balkans one of these days..

Lava is flowing out of the big island of Hawaii volcano now. Most active volcano in the U.S.

Puerta Vallerta is my preferred destination for Christmas, and next summer we are looking at Peru. I like to go places I haven't been before, but its always tempting to go back to a place I love. Ultimately its the people and food that make the place for me.

Wherever I go, I always listen to this song.

You'll want to learn the Hawaiian Shacka before you go. Instead of waiving like we do in the States they like a Shacka!
