Bogus! When someone doesn't like you....

Welcome to our community

It's the place that kicks you out for being Hispanic or looking different.
Well actually, it is a place where residents are alerted to unknown activities by someone unknown. In our neighborhood, we own the roads, on which we all have right of use. Others do not unless there are visiting a resident or providing a service.

People like you, they don't like you. That's life. One advantage of getting older is you get to the "I don't give a f***" stage. I am what I am - take it or leave it.

...^^^This !...I learned a long time ago that if you worry too much about what most other people think or try to live your life by someone else's set of rules, you'll become bitter and miserable.

...my very close circle of friends and family are the exception..."The people who really matter don't care, and the people who care don't really matter."

Did you build a wall (or at least put up a gate) to keep them out? Did you make them pay for it?

No, a wall isn't really needed. The community is surrounded by forest, and it has one entrance road. You definitely know you are entering a private road residential area with no other way out.

My philosophy on this can be attributed to the late, great, Bernie Mac:

Not much street racing where I grew up
Well no, not with speed bumps.

On the other hand, I've lived in neighborhoods with an abundance of street racing. Perhaps the neighborhood councils were placed as a preventative measure. You should see the speed bumps near our ultra wealthy high school neighborhood.

I've seen streets in Beaverton with a large amount of street speed bumps. Try Hart road sometime.

You know, people get killed during street races. Maybe these neighbors don't want that.

Turns out she wasn't a big fan of my dad last year, and since I'm affiliated with him via father-son relationship and last name, I'm a bad person. There are extra money pots, etc, and she runs one of them. She will walk up and down the lanes a few times throughout the night, yelling out for people to enter the pot. There was no need to yell, as it wasn't THAT loud, and we would already decline it earlier, but I could see the frustration building up with my dad, and I could hear him under his breath many times: "Shut up.......fuck......" Hell, we have second row seats in the 200 level, and he has yelled at people in the handicapped seating area to shut up and sit down. They would just be standing up and visiting with people who came from their seats in another area, and nothing was going on in the game, and it was blocking our view......AND it was not anyone who actually had a handicap. I know someone mentioned east coast and west coast.....well, my dad's a baby boomer from New York, so there you go. Doesn't really give a fuck.

I don't really care if someone likes me or doesn't, and I'm not going to go out of my way to change it. I'm me and that's what you get. I just thought it was really out of line to threaten my friends/teammates like that - don't let him sub or you'll be outcasts. There's not a lot to the story, but it's a real situation we all might have been in at some point, in one way or another, and I thought I'd share it. This person wants to work it out and appreciates my attitude towards it, because she was wrong to do this.

But, she also didn't hear where I told her to stick it, so...
